  1. I was wondering when a prophet says he had a dream of a catastraphy, What does that mean for us? He’s not telling anyone and can’t help anyone so what does it mean?

    • Hi Vicki,

Usually, prophets receive dreams of things to come as a warning. When a prophet has a dream, he is usually instructed by the Lord what to do with it. If he/she is not instructed what to do with it, they will inquire of the Lord. If there is no clear answer what to do with it at the time, there is only one thing they can do… wait.

However, if a prophet has had a dream of a catastrophe and isn’t specific about what the catastrophe is, or has no specific instructions regarding it, the wise thing to do by the people who hear this dream is to prepare as best you can for whatever it may be. Basic disaster preparation is wise for anyone – and the prophet’s non-specific dream can just be a nudge to get prepared.

The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:20, “”Have faith in the LORD your God and you’ll be established! Have faith in his prophets and you’ll succeed!”

      Hope this helps.
