Jim Bakker Show

This is a day that will go down in history as the Jim Bakker Show was broadcast live from the Upper Room at Heritage International for the first time in over 25 years.

There was a standing ovation in the Upper Room for Pastor Jim Bakker as he was introduced as host of the Jim Bakker Show by the posthumus voice of Henry Harrison, the co-host of PTL for many years, who passed into Glory in 1995! The Upper Room was filled with old friends from long ago in the history of Heritage USA, and others who came to witness this historic event. (more…)

The power of God’s restoration powerfully shone through those at the Upper Room in Fort Mill, South Carolina as Pastor Jim Bakker spoke at the site.

Pastor Jim and Lori Bakker hosted episodes of the Jim Bakker Show from the Upper Room that many people have called the “heart” of Heritage USA. The episodes were introduced for the first time in 25 years by the voice of Henry Harrison, Pastor’s co-host of PTL for many years, who passed into glory in 1995. (more…)

Dale Hill, Pastor Jim’s first director from 46 years ago at CBN, was able to attend the Restoration Celebration and speak to the Master’s Media students.

He has been working in ministries all these years as a director and honing his craft. Pastor Jim said Dale’s skills were priceless and the lessons learned from him by the Master’s students were immeasurable.

During a session with the students, Melody Hayes said she learned from Mr. Hill that focus and dedication were how he learned with Pastor Jim. Through trial and error for hours and hours on end, they worked many nights perfecting the shows that were unknown in the Christian world. It was uncharted territory for both of them. Hill said that if Your relationship with God is strong enough, then your calling to Him cannot be shaken. (more…)

It was an emotional return to the former Heritage USA and PTL for our own Kevin Shorey. After a seventeen hour bus ride with the Master’s Media students and staff members of the Jim Bakker Show from Missouri to Fort Mill, South Carolina, the exhausted, yet excited group awoke to meet up in the Upper Room yesterday morning to hear from Kevin Shorey and Russell James, former PTL employee who has purchased and is restoring the Upper Room at Heritage International. It was a great show as Pastor Jim and Lori Bakker were interviewed on the Daystar television network by Marcus and Joni Lamb on the “Marcus & Joni Show” February 11th, 2013. Marcus told Pastor Jim how his life and ministry has been a great inspiration to him personally and thanked him for his contribution to Christian television, by which the Gospel is now being preached throughout the world.

In a demonstration of support for their ministry, Marcus and Joni surprised Jim and Lori with a check for $10,000 for Lori’s House! (more…)

On January 27, Pastor Jim announced the newly appointed President and Director of Master’s Media, Andrew Lietzen and Zach Drew, respectively. After four years of running the program himself, Pastor Jim relinquished the reins and has passed the baton to these two talented individuals. (more…)

Saturday, December 22nd will never be forgotten in the minds and hearts of many. God’s love was very apparent at Morningside on that day. Designated as the day for our Christmas Community Celebration Outreach, the local area had been blanketed with radio advertising and distribution of flyers announcing this event. It had taken many days of preparation and hard work by our staff and wonderful volunteers to get ready for this project.

However, we really didn’t know how many would respond to this outreach effort. The ministry decided to over-plan rather than risk someone going without a blessing. Pastor Jim and Lori were thrilled when over 500 people showed up! Let’s face it – true love is shown through our actions and caring for others. God’s great love permeated the atmosphere that day.

Pastor Jim Bakker began a new teaching series this past Sunday entitled “To Know Him.” The series will continue at 3:00 p.m. CST each Sunday on Grace Street at Morningside where everyone is welcome.

Pastor Jim began the series by emphasizing that it’s a crucial time for the Believer and a time to draw close to the Lord – to know Him! (Matthew 16:28, Luke 9:27) He emphasized that the End Times Church will come together like never before in a dark and troubled world and they will be the light to show the way to Jesus (Matthew 5:14). Many have heard of Samaritan’s Purse and their Operation Christmas Child program. Reverend Franklin Graham is the President of this wonderful humanitarian organization. The goal of Samaritan’s Purse is to help suffering people by meeting their needs and especially sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Every year in support of Operation Christmas Child, thousands join in to help purchase and fill shoeboxes with items for children all over the world. These shoeboxes are full of fun gifts and needed personal items for unprivileged children who otherwise would not receive gifts. This year is very unique because Operation Christmas Child has just surpassed the 100 millionth shoebox!! (more…)

Morningside Church and the Jim Bakker Show wrapped 117 gifts (one for each employee) for Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.

Each shoebox contains little treats, toys, and toiletries that will be sent to children in impoverished, war torn countries.
