The violent anti-Western Jabhat al-Nusra, the al-Qaeda branch which is the strongest in the Syrian resistance, took over wells around the city of Raqqa and in the desert region in the Eastern part of the country. They control up to 380,000 barrels of crude oil. (more…)

Syria Tries to Claim Israel Is Working With Al-Qaeda

The government of Syria is accusing Israel of working with a group that has called for the deaths of all Jews in a bombing raid against Syrian military targets.

Al-Qaeda Attack In Canada Stopped By International Investigation

Two foreign men living in Canada have been charged with plotting to blow up a passenger train with support from Al-Qaeda in Iran.

Officers with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police took Chiheb Esseghaier, 30, and Raed Jaser, 35, into custody Monday. The two men have been charged in connection with a plot to derail a VIA passenger train in the Toronto area. (more…)

Foreign Terrorists Identified In Sunday Terror Bombings In Somalia

Somalia’s Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon has told media outlets that the terrorists who carried out a bomb and gun attack on one of the city’s main courthouses were foreign terrorists.

The al-Qaeda linked Islamic terror group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the assaults that have now resulted in the deaths of 29 people. 58 people have been confirmed wounded by the attack. (more…)

President Obama Authorizes U.S. Military Support To Somalia

President Obama has removed restrictions that would allow the U.S. military to provide assistance to the Somalian government in their fight against Islamic terrorists who still control large parts of the rural center of the country.

The move now allows Secretary of State John Kerry the right to send troops into Somalia and provide weapons and other defensive aid. (more…)

Former American Soldier Who Fought For Al-Qaeda Arrested

A Phoenix, Arizona man who served in the Army has been arrested charged with fighting as part of Al Qaeda in Syria.

Eric Harroun, who left the Army on diability after a truck accident in 2003, faces charges of conspiring to use a rocked-propelled grenade while fighting with Al-Qaeda. Harroun had admitted to being a “Muslim freedom fighter” during a Skype interview with Fox News on March 11th. (more…)

Main Syrian-Jordanian Border Post Closed -U.N. Troops Evacuated

All non-essential international staff of the United Nations security forces are being pulled out because of the escalating violence in Damascus.

Syrian Al Qaeda forces fighting near the Jordanian border crossing has caused Jordan to close that border station for the first time in the two-year Syrian civil war. The crossing is an important access road for passengers and was the main transit route for hundreds of trucks, daily carrying goods to Turkey from the Gulf before the Syrian conflict erupted. Al-Qaeda has released a statement that it has killed a French citizen kidnapped in 2011.

The terrorists have claimed they killed Philippe Vernon on March 10th in retaliation for France’s intervention in Mali. France’s troops stopped terrorists associated with Al-Qaeda from overtaking the Malian capital. (more…)
