Newt Gingrich was criticized for saying that “Palestinians” are an invented people. Many have come against him when he stated there are millions of Arabs living in so-called “Palestine.” Gingrich however was not talking about the people now living in Bethlehem, Jericho, Left Bank or in Gaza. He was addressing the national origin of those people. Most whom call themselves Palestinian immigrated to this land of Israel in recent history.
This past week on Al-Hekmas TV, Hamas (ruling power of Palestine) Minister of the Interior and National Security, Fathi Hammad stated that the roots of most Palestinians are elsewhere in the Middle East. “Every Palestinian in Gaza and throughout Palestine can prove his Arab roots – whether from Saudi Arabia, from Yemen or elsewhere. We have blood ties.” Hammad continued to say that those who have been asking for statehood through the U.N. would like you to believe the Palestinian Arabs are different from other Arab nations and that is why they need their own homeland, but that is not a legitimate argument.
Tatsächlich, Fathi Hammad was trying to convince Egypt along with other neighboring states through this television show, that they should supply free fuel for Hamas controlled Gaza to use, “in order to continue to wage Jihad.” These words were never meant to be heard and consumed by the West. Er sagte,, “Brothers, half of the Palestinians are Egyptians and the other half are Saudis.” They are not Palestinians at all.
Hammad’s remarks were undoubtedly never intended for a Western audience.
Even though the Palestinian identity is based on such a thin veneer, the Arabs claim that Jerusalem belongs to them and is the Capital of the Palestinians. This bone of contention continues to raise its ugly head in Middle East peace talks.
The United States Congress and the majority of the American people recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. If the United States ever played a role in dividing Jerusalem in order to make peace with the Palestinian Arabs and Islamic terrorists, we are in danger of seeing the wrath of God fall on this nation as never before.
Jerusalem contains a compound about the size of two football fields. That compound contains the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock (Holy Places to Islam). Jedoch, this land was given by God to Israel long ago. This is the same compound that held the Jewish Temple over 2,000 years ago and even Solomon’s Temple before that.
Benjamin Netanyahu, Premierminister von Israel, said the status of Jerusalem is “not negotiable.” “Jerusalem is Israel’s capital by decision of the Knesset and nothing can change that,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor stated. “It’s our capital, no matter what anyone else is saying.”
"In jenen Tagen und zu jener Zeit, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.”
