60 People Massacred By Syrian Forces

Luke 21:9-10: [Jesus said] "When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."

<blockquote>“Hardly a day goes by when our senses are not bludgeoned by some new outbreak of terrorism in the Middle East.  Despite our best efforts at making and keeping the peace, political, economic, and religious tensions often lead to unrest, violence, and riots.”

Activists report that 60 bodies have been found just outside of Damascus burned beyond recognition with their hands bound behind their back. The bodies were discovered in a trash dump outside Qatana, a Damascus suburb.

The announcement of the massacre came as the United Nations announced an end to its observer mission.

The UN Security Council announced they had agreed with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s proposal to place a liaison office in Syria in an attempt to end the conflict which has left at least 21,000 people since March 2011. Russia’s representative, Vitaly Churkin, said that he wants to get all the key regional players together to make a “joint or parallel appeal” to the combatants to end the war.

Activists said the death toll on Thursday was 200 including the 60 found in Qatana.
