Living in a Season of Suspense

Terry Lynn Stubblefield

Are you in a season of uncertainty? Waiting for an answer, not knowing what’s going to happen? Do you feel like you’re in constant suspense day after day, not knowing what the out-come will be? Are you asking questions like, “Is this going to work out? Is the chemo going to be successful or not? Will I lose my job? How am I going to be able to do this?” Constant suspense is a difficult position to be in and it will not only wear you out, but can wreak havoc on your health.

I have a solution to share with you. Find several scriptures that will be “constant certainties” to OVERCOME the uncertainties you are facing. As you meditate on God’s Word it will strengthen you and bring certainty into your thought life.

Here are just a few examples…

*I trust in God to always have all sufficiency in all things, so I may abound to every good work. 2 Cor. 9:3

*“Jesus is about to do super-abundantly far over and above all that I dare ask or think, infinitely beyond my highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams.” Ephesians 3:20 (Amplified)

*I will not be afraid, because the Lord is my helper. Hebrews 13:6

*God is for me and not against me. ~Romans 8:31

*I am able to do ALL things through Christ Who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

*God will not in any way fail me nor give me up nor leave me without support. Hebrews 13:5

*I will consider the birds of the air. They don’t spend their time worrying about what to plant or harvest, they don’t have storerooms or barns, but God feeds them. I’m worth much more than the birds! ~Luke 12:24

*God protects me from trouble and surrounds me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7

Come out of your season of suspense into God’s season of certainties! His Word is true and never changes. Fears, worries and uncertainties begin to diminish when they are replaced with the sure Word of God. You can’t get any more certain than God’s own Words.

Psalm 119:89—“Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. “ (KJV) AMEN AND AMEN!
