Israel has plans for a unilateral strike against Tehran’s nuclear facilities which will start a war with Iran and conceivably draw in terrorists from Lebanon as well as the Palestinians in Gaza. There are thousands of missiles aimed towards Israel, yet according to the Israeli minister responsible for preparing home defenses, he says it will only be a 30 day war with only about 500 fatalities in Israel. Matan Vilnai stated that Israel is “ready as never before.”
Iran’s leaders are often calling for Israel’s extinction and Jerusalem is convinced that their archenemy is building a nuclear device that can be delivered on the head of ballistic missiles.
It has been leaked that Israel is coordinating a strike that will be headed by an “unprecedented cyber-attack” designed to thoroughly paralyze the Iranian regime. They will then send a barrage of ballistic missiles launched from Israel and their submarines located near the Persian Gulf. According to the leaked information, Israeli Air Force planes will be equipped with a new electronic technology, previously unknown even to the US that will make their planes “invisible.”
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei commented during a meeting with veterans that he was assured, “the fake Zionists will disappear from the landscape of geography.” Khamenei was quoted by Iran’s Mehr News Agency, “The light of hope will shine on the Palestinian issue, and this Islamic land will certainly be returned to the Palestinian nation.”
Brig. General Gholamreza Jalali, the head of Iran’s civil defense organization insisted “In order to liberate Palestine there was no other option but to destroy Israel. No other way exists apart from resolve and strength to completely eliminate the aggressive nature and to destroy Israel.” Jalali added, “The Islamic world would be strong against the Zionist threat. The Islamic front in Syria has been strengthened.” This was probably a reference made to Iran’s support for Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime.
Of course we know how that story ends, “Damascus will no longer be a city,
but will become a heap of ruins,” a prophecy yet to be fulfilled from Isaiah chapter 17.
An Israeli official responded to Jalali’s remarks by saying it’s a “reaffirmation of what we continually hear from the Iranian leadership.” Israel is taking the Iranian threat very seriously. “We urge others to do the same. The Iranians use explicit language, and their words speak for themselves.”
How long can we stick our heads in the sand and not see what is happening in our churches, across this country and around this world? In Jesus’ teaching of the Parable of the Fig Tree in Matthew 24:32-35, He said that the generation which sees all of the things He mentioned in His prophetic teaching will not pass away until His return.
Most Bible scholars believe the countdown for His return began between 1948 (the Jews’ return to Israel) and 1967 (the Jews’ re-claiming of God’s Holy City, Jerusalem.) Jesus promised to return during the lifetime of some of the people who witnessed these events. Jesus could return any time! We are the Revelation Generation to whom Jesus spoke!
A nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran is totally unacceptable. How long can they wait for little Israel to take care of the world’s biggest problem? It’s David and Goliath time all over again!
