The last round of nuclear talks ended in Moscow with nothing settled. Iran seems to take some sort of pleasure and pride in knowing the world cannot stop them with Russia, China and North Korea standing by their side.
Gen. Hossein Salami reiterated that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard is ready for war, which is close, and though it will be very difficult, “We have faith in Allah.” Iran announced missile tests on Sunday and threatened to wipe Israel “off the face of the earth” if the Jewish state attacks its nuclear facilities.
Iran’s supreme leader, also expecting war, urged political and military factions of the regime to unite and remain steadfast in defense of Islam and confronting the “arrogant powers.” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated, “Today the arrogant powers of the world have focused all their power to hurt the Islamic republic and stop its progress, which motivates the Islamic world.” He said, “America itself is surrounded by serious problems, which cannot be solved. Their main goal is to separate the Islamic republic from the support of its people. Allah willing, this conspiracy will also be defeated.”
Salami bragged “We have faith in Allah,” on an Iranian national television show recently. He said that soon there will be war and Allah will ensure his forces are victorious, “Iran has complete control of all the enemy’s interests around the world and is on a path to reach equivalency with world powers. The general made a particular point of also stating Iran’s nuclear program is irreversible. Once Iran has the knowledge and the technology, you cannot bomb it with your jets or attack it with cyber warfare.
Iran’s deputy chief commander of the Revolutionary Guards says war is inevitable, and the Iranian forces are ready. “The current sanctions will only help Iran with its progress, and the Iranian ballistic missiles can target the enemy’s moving carriers with 100 percent accuracy,” Salami warned the West. “The Guards’ plan includes a radius of deterrence in the region in which all interests of the enemy have been identified, and in case of war, those interests will be attacked.”
Salami said Iranian ballistic missiles can travel at several times the speed of sound and cannot easily be tracked and destroyed. “Our defense inventory is so great that at times our brothers in the Guards face limitations with space.”
According to the Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran, the Revolutionary Guards are on high alert and have more than 1,000 ballistic missiles capable of reaching all U.S. bases in the region, all of Israel and some capitals in Europe. In collaboration with China and North Korea, Iran is working on the development of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
In 2009, millions of Iranians took to the streets as they have been doing in Syria, demanding regime change, but ultimately the Iranian uprising was cruelly put down. Many civilians were tortured and executed. Iranian prisons are filled and overflowing with dissidents. Iranian officials reported more than 600 people were executed last year, including women.
Let us all pray that Syria does not turn into another Iran.
Egypt has evolved from a secular, Western-aligned dictatorship to an Islamist controlled regime proclaiming Sharia Law. This closely mirrors what happened to Iran in the late 1970s.The Iranian people were under the oppressive rule of their former shah, just as the Egyptians were under the Mubarak regime. The Ayatollah Khomenei propelled his movement in Iran into power through new found democratic freedoms. The same holds true for the Muslim Brotherhood, rightly dubbed the father of all terrorist organizations. Upon winning the presidential election they announced, “The Koran is our constitution, the prophet is our leader, jihad is our path and death in the name of Allah is our goal.”
Will there be war? Yes, in God’s timing.
