Corea del Norte Humillado

II Timoteo 3:13 Pero los malos hombres y los engañadores irán de mal en peor, engañoso, y siendo engañados.

North Korea’s widely condemned missile launch ended up in pieces over the Yellow Sea shortly after take-off. What was meant to be a global triumph for them, ended up an embarrassment in the face of their national celebrations.

The White House in Washington called the failed attempt, a severe breach of its international obligations and warned that the regime’spattern of aggressive behavioronly succeeded in further isolation from the rest of the world.

Despite the failure of its attempted missile launch, North Korea’s provocative action threatens regional security, violates international law and contravenes its own recent commitments,” said spokesman Jay Carney. “The President has been clear that he is prepared to engage constructively with North Korea. Sin embargo, he has also insisted that North Korea live up to its own commitments, adhere to its international obligations and deal peacefully with its neighbors.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had already warned that Washington would seek further UN Security Council sanctions against North Korea for firing off a renegade ballistic missile, and the White House itself had announced it would halt planned shipments of food aid in response to any such launch.

Other world leaders were calling the launch attempt, “a covert test of missile technology and a flagrant violation of international resolutions prohibiting North Korea from developing its nuclear and missile programs.”

This event was meant to be a show of strength, but ended up being “terribly embarrassing for the North,” according to Victor Cha, former director for Asian policy in the U.S. National Security Council. The failureblows a big hole in the birthday party,” he added with a slight smirk.

A former intelligence officer with the U.S. State Department remarked it would appear that North Korea has not yet mastered the technology needed to threaten the United States with a multistage intercontinental ballistic missile. North Korea has also tested a couple of nuclear devises but having difficulty building a warhead small enough to fit on a long-range missile.
