A One-String Fiddle (Pt. 2)

In Part 1, we talked about how a good friend believes in you and will always have God’s heart for you, which means they believe in the dream for you that is God-given and existed from the foundation of the world. Isn’t it amazing that God gives dreams to individuals to accomplish something for His kingdom – and after He gives them, no matter what forces of hell come against the dream, God still doesn’t take it back! It’s given for eternity, and one can do nothing except go forward towards that dream all the days of their life – unless they quit.

You can quit on God, but God will never quit on you.

Tommy said that this ministry is about to experience the greatest thing that has ever happened to it. He said this ministry will make an impact on the world in the future, an impact that PTL would have never made. That wouldn’t happen unless I refused to quit! But today, it’s a whole different message. I have a Revelation message today. Today, we are focused on the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are getting ready for the Harvest Time!

John Shorey was with us recently and he said there’s not a lot of time left. We may not have a year or two yet before the coming of the Lord, we don’t know. So, it’s the NOW time. Now is the time to sing your song, to preach your message, to build your church, to dream your dream.

Tommy told a story of when he was a young boy and he had a dream in those days to preach the Gospel and heal the sick. But he was a stutterer. He couldn’t talk. He said he remembered when another woman had asked his Mother, “What is Tommy going to do when he grows up?”   His Mother very proudly said that Tommy was going to be a preacher. Tommy said he’ll never forget the woman’s words.  She looked at my Mother and said, “Don’t encourage him – he’s too shy and he can’t talk. He can never be a preacher.”

Don’t you hate it when people say things like that about a child’s dream? If you want to seal a child’s doom, just tell them they can’t do something! But, in spite of those words, the dream in Tommy was bigger than anybody pronouncing something over him.

I’ve learned from my studies on the different temperaments that you were created a certain way – it’s how you were formed, and it is established before you were born. People may think, oh, snap out of it. Well, you can’t snap out of it because that’s the way you are made before the earth was formed.

The vision hasn’t changed to build a retreat center… to build a place for God’s people that is like a City of Refuge. I have people who say, “Why are you doing this? Why are you doing the same thing again?” The answer is very simple: I only have one string on my fiddle. I mean I’m a one-string fiddle and I don’t have another one. I’m doing what is in me and for the first time I understand it. I can’t change it because it was established in me by God!

Maybe you have a call, and you can’t change it because it was established in you by God. It is a dream God put it in your heart! I encourage you to write that dream down and meditate on God’s will for you.

Habakkuk 2:2,3: And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

You may have only one string in your fiddle too, but it’s okay because God can and will make beautiful music with your life.

Remember, a symphony begins with only one note.

  1. BROTHER JIM, THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL WORD YOU WROTE!!!!! I’M SO LOOKING FOR THE RETURN OF OUR MAGNIFICENT SAVIOR,AND LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!! I DO LOVE YOU NOW, AS AN AGED PREACHER,KIND OF LIKE JIMMY SWAGGART,HE IS EASIER TO LISTEN TO NOW,THAT AGE HAS HUMBLED HIM!! YOU ARE ALL DOING THE WORK OF THE WORK OF THE LORD, AND THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS. LOVE IN CHRIST,BROTHER JEREMIAH.

  2. God Bless you always Jim bakker for being devoted to my God and His Son Jesus Christ! It’s an awsome and amazing thing to be living in these very end times; to be so privileged to have the opportunity to point folks to Jesus before we all leave this Earth… I can’t impress upon others too much how urgent this is now; because when we leave; the Holy Spirit goes with us; Jesus sent His Spirit to dwell in our hearts; the Holy Spirit doesn’t walk the earth alone; but only with us; so I can’t even (and don’t want to) imagine how terrible and dark this world will be then, and how very difficult it will be for those who come to the Lord after the Rapture of the Saints. Jesus is coming to meet us in the clouds; the last day on Earth as we know it won’t happen until somewhere in the year 3050…. God gave that clue to us in the profits, when he shows us “time, times and one half time” In Psalm 90, Moses shows us that one thousand years to us is one to God; so I figure the Lord’s Day will occur sometime in 3050….. doesn’t the devil have to rule the earth 1000 years before Jesus sets His foot back on it? So then that would be about right. Revelations shows us how small the world will have shrunk by then; that’s going to take a little while to dissolve governments, and societies. People please please get this; and stop picking your nose and stand up and go spread God’s Word while you still have the chance; I can’t bare to think about anyone being left behind to face those dark evil times! There won’t be any Jim Bakkers or Lori Bakkers or Billy Grahams around to do your work for you then! I doubt very much there will be any Christian Television, or Radio; no Church on every corner…….

  3. A SYMPHONY BEGINS WITH JUST ONE NOTE

    a symphony begins
    with just one note
building folks up in the LORD
is in everything PASTOR JIM has spoken or wrote
A CITY OF REFUGE , a place to depend on
creating a community , where GOD’S people are respected and belong
so, when life’s storms for sure come
GOD’S people will have each other , and HIM , and live on
