Muslim Soldier Guilty In Domestic Terror Plot

Rev 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

A Muslim soldier was convicted Thursday on six charges related to a terror plot to kill American troops at a Texas restaurant.

Jurors deliberated just over an hour before finding Pfc. Naser Jason Abdo guilty of charges including attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction. He faces up to life in prison when sentenced in July.

Abdo was AWOL from Ft. Campbell, Kentucky when authorities found him inside a hotel room in Killeen, Texas with bomb making equipment and over 140 rounds of ammunition. Police reports state Abdo had already begun the process of building the bomb for the attack.

His confession to authorities stated he planned to place the bomb inside a busy restaurant and then shoot anyone who ran outside after surviving the bombing. He also planned to become a martyr killed by police on the scene.

Abdo told police when he was caught that he planned the attack on troops near Fort Hood because he didn’t appreciate “what my unit did in Afghanistan.” He later told his mother during prison interviews that he was doing it because of his Islamic faith and that he was seeking “justice” for people in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Abdo went AWOL from his post in Kentucky after being charged with possession of child pornography and had his conscientious objector status jeopardized by the charge.
