Narrative

Continuing his series on Freedom, Pastor Jim focused on the increasing loss of religious freedoms Christians face in America. As he has in the past, he again issued a warning. If America continues to mock God, the Almighty’s wrath is certain to follow. Pastor Jim declared that so many in the land have become jaded that few even notice the things happening everyday that provide evidence that the country lies on the brink of severe chastisement.

He noted a recent news story that outlined how the U.S. Air Force removed the Latin word for God from the patches found on the uniforms of Rapid Capabilities Office workers after pressure and complaints from the Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers. The patch’s statement originally read, “Doing God’s Work with Other People’s Money,” but now reads, “Doing Miracles with Other People’s Money.” He said the Air Force’s decision exemplifies a rejection of God and a choice to credit money as the reason behind the department’s work and success, rather than keeping God in the forefront.

In another military related incident, the Army restricted Catholic chaplains from speaking against birth control legislation and practices and even forbade the reading of a letter from an archbishop, which was addressed to the religious leaders serving in this branch of the armed forces.

Even further, Federal Reserve Bank regulators, after inspecting an Oklahoma bank, found the institution in violation of certain policies and regulations and, as a result, ordered the removal of images of crosses and a Bible verse visible within the bank branch. They also forced the removal of Scriptural text from the bank’s website.

“If it’s not freedom for all, it’s not freedom at all,” Pastor Jim said, adding that the country’s founding fathers already fought the fight for freedom of religion, which should be applied to all faiths. He said atheists have rights to their beliefs and practices, but should not use their freedom to infringe on the rights of Christians.

The continued erosion of religious freedom and the nation’s continued rejection of God, Pastor Jim said, serve as signs of the last days and fulfillment of the prophecies found in Revelations. “What makes God so mad that He pours His wrath out?” he asked, in reference to what happens in the last book of the Bible. He answered that it involves the habit of people giving money more credit than they give to God, or taking God out of the equation, as all of the above examples show.

He shared that several prophetic teachers forecast increasing troubles for America and the world. Rick Joyner foresees a catastrophic earthquake striking the West Coast, of a magnitude never before seen. Dutch Sheets remains certain that terrorist attacks worse than 9/11 will take place. Rick Ridings sees many cities and nations falling into states of anarchy and confusion. Pastor Jim shared that one of the 31 things God gave him years ago, and the only that has yet to be fulfilled, is the dropping of an atomic bomb in the Middle East that will end up shaking the entire world.

God can prevent all of these things from happening, he said, but only if people and nations repent and stop their rejection of Him from their lives.
