We are seeing the Book of Revelation come to life within the physical headlines of the latest skirmishes when you get up in the morning and physically see the results on the late news before you go to bed as the events begin anew on the other side of this world. We are faced with life and death, light and darkness, blessings and curses. Y, we all participate in this war, like it or not!
Revelation news is more than the physical realities we see in the happenings around us. It is more than the earthly catastrophes that rip the ground apart, spewing hot lava from the depths of the inner earth that sends shockwaves of destruction upon the dry land. Jesus told us there would be days like this in the end times.
Spiritual truth is the reason behind our physical realities!
This is the world in which we live. We are encompassed by warfare and surrounded by enemies on all sides, just like Israel. It doesn’t matter whether we joined this war or feel like we were drafted, we are all involved. The battles are raging all around us and are intensifying.
The whole of creation itself seems to be involved. There are earthquakes, tornadoes and volcanoes, super-storms, personal conflicts, wars and rumors of wars.
The church itself is reflecting the end of the age, leading to the acceptance of all peoples and ideologies, with lax doctrines. We do not want to offend anyone. We all worship the same God. And on it goes, right into being the one-world church led by a false prophet, spoken of in the scriptures with a one-world government and the anti-Christ.
We are new soldiers in a very old spiritual world. This war began even before Adam and Eve. We fight the battles on a daily bases.
Chances are, we know a family member or a church member that has no clue about what is happening in today’s world. They are not anxiously waiting for the imminent return of Jesus. The physical world is their only reality. They may have been raised in a Christian home and think they are a Christian simply because they go to a service on Sunday morning!
They need to know that they are a spirit. They need to know that ghosts are spirits and you do not think about nor entertain deceptive spirits masquerading as angels of light; horoscopes, fortune telling, witchcraft and such. Who is going to tell them?
Are we going to share the spiritual truth with them before Jesus returns and they find themselves in the middle of the Great Tribulation of God’s Wrath?
They don’t understand the simplest of spiritual concepts. They think that if God is a loving God, He would never send anyone to hell. Some even surmise that if you are a good person, there are many ways to heaven. A few have assumed that you can live in sin and God’s grace is sufficient to cover you, no matter what offense you commit.
The truth is God’s grace will cover all your sins if you repent and turn away from that sin.
The truth is there is only one way to the Father, and that Way is Jesus.
God will guide you by His Spirit to open up conversations with strangers who have no understanding of these things and use you to share His truths. These are the days spoken of by the prophets of old. Just share the simple Gospel that Jesus died once for all and was raised from death to new life.
Not just life, but life more abundant. Tell them “The time is short.”
It’s like Pastor Jim Bakker says, “It’s time to be prepared.”
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the spiritual rulers (the fallen angels) of the darkness in this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto yourself the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery missiles of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” (Efesios 6: 10-18)
