2 Timoteo 3:1-5 “But realize this, que en los últimos días vendrán tiempos difíciles. Porque habrá hombres amadores de sí mismos, avaros, jactancioso, arrogante, maldicientes, desobedientes a los padres, ingrato, impío, sin amor, irreconciliable, calumniadoras, sin autodominio, brutal, aborrecedores de lo bueno, traicionero, temerario, engreído, Los amantes de los deleites más que de Dios, teniendo apariencia de piedad, pero habiendo negado su poder; Avoid such men as these.”
When you read the news every day like I do, and then you are charged with getting that news out on the Jim Bakker Show website, sometimes it can be a heavy thing that hangs over your head… that is, unless you have read the Bible and you know where it’s all going!
Hay, en efecto, many things happening in our world that are considered ‘bad’ news – and rightly so. These are the Last Days. These are the days of which Jesus warned in Matthew 24, Lucas 21, the Revelation and other prophetic scriptures, perilous days. He gave us a warning so that we could be prepared for anything, spiritually and physically.
La mala noticia . . . the spiritual warfare in these last days is increasing. We have all had to face the daily headlines and the evil of unrepentant men.
*Russia is talking to Cuba about their warships being based there. Vietnam and the Seychelles has also been contacted about housing Russian navy ships.
*The Quds Forces, a special Iranian unit of thousands of operatives tasked with exporting Iran’s Islamic revolution and jihad, are being told to step up preparations for terrorism, preparing the way for the coming of the last Islamic messiah and the destruction of the West.
*Electric Grid failure left more than 300 million people without power.
*Al-Qaida and the Syrian rebels onslaught, part of a high-stakes battle for a city and the country. Top regional leaders claimed war crimes are being committed. Fighting between the Syrian regime and rebels is intensifying. It is only a matter of time before President Bashar Assad loses his iron grip on power. But who will take over at the helm, the Islamic Muslim Brotherhood?
*Fighters left the Free Syrian Army for the discipline and ideology of global jihad and the al-Qaida terrorist group operating in Syria.
*Syria has expanded its chemical weapons arsenal with help from Iran.
*The jobless rate rose to 24.6 por ciento.
*Iran is bolstering its retaliation capabilities against US naval ships in the Persian Gulf.
*Tensions are rising over the democratic transition in Egypt.
*Continued turmoil and war crimes on all sides occurring in Syria.
*Iran is advancing toward the production of nuclear weapons.
*Colorado movie theater massacre and another mass murder in a Sikh temple.
*Internet needs fundamental defenses against foreign incursion.
*The four-year-long drought that affected western Canada and the U.S. has not been bad yet. Scientists warn that dry spell was nothing compared to the “mega-droughts” still to come.
*Israel spying on U.S. and U.S.is spying on Israel.
*U.N. member states have failed to reach agreement on a new treaty to regulate the global arms trade.
*Can world currencies survive more of the round after round of debasement?
Y, that’s just the news this past week. It is time to draw closer to the Lord Jesus. Dijo, “En el mundo tendréis aflicción, pero confiad. Yo he vencido al mundo!”
La buena noticia es . . . Jesus is coming back, Jerusalem is openly declared the capital of Israel by Gov. Romney, candidate for U.S. president, and the reestablishing of the Third Temple in Jerusalem has begun.
Don’t be overwhelmed by this world and all the ‘bad’ news you hear every single day. As Pastor Jim often says, “the good news is the bad news is the good news!"
