Newt Gingrich was criticized for saying that “Palestinians” are an invented people. Many have come against him when he stated there are millions of Arabs living in so-called “Palestine.” Gingrich however was not talking about the people now living in Bethlehem, Jericho, Left Bank or in Gaza. He was addressing the national origin of those people. Most whom call themselves Palestinian immigrated to this land of Israel in recent history.

This past week on Al-Hekmas TV, Hamas (ruling power of Palestine) Minister of the Interior and National Security, Fathi Hammad stated that the roots of most Palestinians are elsewhere in the Middle East. “Every Palestinian in Gaza and throughout Palestine can prove his Arab roots – whether from Saudi Arabia, en provenance du Yémen ou ailleurs. Cependant, this land was given by God to Israel long ago. This is the same compound that held the Jewish Temple over 2,000 years ago and even Solomon’s Temple before that.
