Israel Strikes Back After Hamas Rejects Peace Proposal

Zechariah 12:3 “And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”

Editor's Note: Jim Bakker teaches to watch Israel closely because it is the prophetic timeclock for the unfolding of Last Days events. In Matthew 24, Israel is the fig tree that the Lord told His people to observe to understand the times. It is like a barometer of what is happening in the nations.

Air strikes against Hamas rocket launching positions resumed after Hamas flatly rejected a peace proposal from Egypt that would end the fighting in the Gaza Strip.

Israel had approved the peace deal and had de-escalated their forces as per the outline set up by Egypt; however Hamas completely rejected the deal and immediately fired up to 50 rockets into Israel.  Israeli officials then announced they would resume their offensive against Hamas because of the terrorist’s ongoing rocket campaign.

Israeli officials say that no one was hurt during the six-hour window that the IDF had scaled back and Hamas fired rockets into Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel would likely intensify their campaign against Hamas because of their rejection of the cease-fire.

“If Hamas rejects the Egyptian proposal and the rocket fire from Gaza does not cease, and that appears to be the case, we are prepared to continue and intensify our operation,” he said in a statement.

While President Obama told a group of Muslim leaders that Israel had the right to defend itself from Hamas’ attacks, Secretary of State John Kerry announced he would skip visiting the region on his way home from talks with Iran in Geneva.

  1. Vicki: With regard to your comment – It makes perfect sense! This current administration absolutely hates Israel and would launch missiles against her if they could get away with it. They are having to mediate their Anti-Israel goals with political correctness because the majority of Americans still support Israel, as we should! Obama is Islamic. His parents were Islamic. He associates with Islamics and attends services in Islamic shrines. He visits Islamic nations and bows down low before their terrorist leaders, yet he will turn a cold shoulder against Netanyahu. Have you forgotten all these things Obama had done or spoken out on that are blatantly against Israel? He has no affinity for our own country or our constitution, which he has violated dozens of times. His entire administration should not even be in the White House and they are trying to promote any policies they can to hard Israel in the long run. This is all old history at this point! Do you not remember that he repeatedly pushed for Israel’s returning back to their pre-1967 borders – which would be impossible to defend with the anti-Israel alliance’s that surround them. I just don’t understand why there are people in the United States today that can’t clearly see that the U.S. is not allied with Israel any more with the Administration that is now in power. Wake up America!!

  2. We need to unite and pray God’s Word of Promise over Israel according the word of His holy prophets in Isaiah and Jeremiah and Ezekiel, Zechariah and other prophets, and the Psalms: that their enemies who hate them and hate Almighty God would be destroyed and gone and that they would be protected and restored and that The Lord will use this adversity to open the eyes of blind Israel to recognize their Messiah – Zechariah 12. Many united prayers according to God’s Word will break the enemies back and release God’s holy angels to do battle in their behalf. We should include prayer for America that our nation would turn back to Living God wholeheartedly and repent so The Lord can restore to us the Joy of our Salvation and in turn we can pour out His Love and Grace on others in our nation and other nations. We have sown the Gospel, now it is time for us to reap a harvest of souls for God’s Glory. So be it Lord! Amen!
God is for us, so, who can be against us. No one if we live holy lives for His Glory.

  3. We have gone to war for lesser reasons and it baffles me that we are not getting involved with troops on the ground in Israel….who is our friend….who we promised to help in times of need. This is making no sense to me.

  4. Unquestionably, we are witnessing Bible prophecies being fulfilled, and the distress of nations. Like countless others, I am continuing to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and all Israel…and for this entire generation. Certainly we all hope that God will bring the hearts of all men/women (of all nations) to an understanding that He alone can bring peace to the hearts of mankind. May the name of ‘Jesus’–God’s only begotten Son–be lifted up in these unnerving times and draw many lives to the Father through Jesus, by the working of the Holy Spirit and the witness of faithful Christ-followers.
