3 thoughts on “Rising Corn Prices and Your Grocery Bill

  1. Libya, tunisia, syria, tanzania—are the biggest buyers of our corn. We are the worlds largest exporter. In 2008 we exported 61 million metric tons of various corn products. This year we will lose 18 to 20 million metric tons due to drought… When poor people around the world are spending 50 percent or more of their income for food, they just can’t afford higher prices for food. If any of the places named above, sound like the news, just remember this; they are our best buyers of corn… What does the shortage of corn mean to the world next year? hunger and higher prices… That’s why the above comment was made…

  2. Corn was the indians food, it fed animals, people and now fuel for cars… This is the first year that we used more of it for fuel, than for food for animals… We are burning food for energy… Do you think this pleases god? we as humans are burning the earth for pleasure[lovers of pleasure] than pleasing god, by treasuring the necessities which god gives us to sustain life… And using them to feed hungry people… We are losing sight of god’s will on earth… Feed the hungry[god’s will] or fill up on cheap gas[ethanol]pleasure… Are we more lovers of pleasure or lovers of god? this shortage is god’s way to get us back on track… It won’t get better until we get it right… Sin is to blame for all sorrows…
