Tammy Sue Bakker

Today, March 8, 2012, I received the shock of my life when my daughter, Tammy Sue Bakker, came to Morningside and surprised me on-stage when she entered from the Green Room singing “The Blood.”

Tammy Sue has not been in the public eye for 8 years, but today her amazing anointing and her beautiful voice has never been more powerful! She may have been silent for a season, but her astounding voice is silent no more!

Tammy Sue’s gift for singing and her anointing has been evident since she was a young adult. Her first album when she was 16 was a bestseller and she was wildly popular among the Christian culture.

Tammy also took the reins of the family ministry when we suffered a setback in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s, and was responsible for holding it together.

Today, Tammy is looking forward to the future to see how God will use her anointing and her gifts to further the Gospel. I am too!

I believe with all my heart that God brought Tammy Sue home to me “for such a time as this.” I couldn’t be more delighted to welcome her home to Morningside!

My heart rejoices.

  1. I was so very blessed to see your return and hear your beautiful voice. Great song. I was just watching an old video on YouTube of you and your dear Mom singing Lean on Me from PTL days. God bless you Tammy Sue. Loved your Mom. Love you, your Dad, Lori, Jay, and all there. I know you are proud of your son as well. Hope to see you more!
