Segna 13:8 Si solleverà popolo contro popolo, e regno contro regno;. Ci saranno terremoti in vari luoghi, e carestie. Questi sono il principio di dolori.
More posturing is being done by the U.S. and European allies who plan to open negotiations and dialog with Iran over their nuclear weapons program. In order for the talks to proceed, il U.S. is demanding the immediate closing and eventual dismantling of a recently completed deep mountain nuclear facility.
European and U.S. diplomats are also calling for Iran to stop producing the high grade uranium fuel and are insisting that Iran not ship their existing stockpiles of fuel out of the country.
President Obama has called this Iran’s “last chance” to resolve its nuclear confrontation with the United Nations diplomatically. This hardline approach requires Iran’s military leadership to give up the Fordo enrichment plant outside of Qum, and also the one facility that is most protected against airstrikes.
It is unclear if the United States and its allied forces would accept anything less than closing down the facility. These terms would be extremely difficult for “Iran to save face.”
Ancora, Sig.. Obama and his allies are taking a chance that the international sanctions as well as Israel’s threat of imminent attack will sway Iran away from their demands that they have the right to be a nuclear nation.
“We have no idea how the Iranians will react,” one senior official replied. “We probably won’t know after our first meeting.” The next round of sanctions will shortly be in effect and Iran might be forced to reckon with the international community.
Changing positions have occurred inside of Iran’s leadership, even about where such meetings should take place. Iran has complained about holding the conference in Istanbul. Tehran recommends a more neutral location like Iraq or China.
Our allies believe that Iran is maneuvering for more time and doubt they are ready to seriously negotiate with the West. There are answers to questions like; explain the “possible military dimensions” of their nuclear program. These questions are based in part, on evidence that has been uncovered about Iran working on warhead designs and nuclear triggers.
The United Kingdom and Israel, looking at the same evidence, say that they believe a decision has been made to move to a nuclear-weapons capability, if not to a weapon itself. The United States will never agree to any negotiations, which leaves Iran with a stockpile of enriched fuel that could be converted to bomb grade material in a matter of months.
Once more we see the deployment of two U.S. aircraft carriers in waters near the Persian Gulf; the nuclear powered USS Enterprise and the Abraham Lincoln. They will be patrolling the gulf’s strategic oil routes that Iran threatened to shut down.
Israel will not be quieted until the threat of Iran with nuclear weapons is totally resolved. They take the treats from Tehran very seriously.
