If you have had a setback, get ready for a comeback. -Pastor Jim Bakker

When I realize what he has done for us, and there is the nail scars in the hands, just to see it makes it so more real. Lori Bakker referring to The Resurrected Christ Statue

Narrative

On today’s show, the ministry is celebrating the 2000th episode. Over the years, many people have seen that this ministry was standing up for Christ and have supported it. To those who thought there was no way that Pastor Jim Bakker could be restored, he and Christ proved everyone wrong. God likes to use those who are broken and at the bottom. It is during the valley times in our lives, when the greatest testimonies, songs and sermons are given by divine inspiration.

Not long ago, Pastor Jim and Lori saw an amazing Resurrected Christ statue. The marble statue was gigantic and when Pastor Jim first laid eyes on it he was amazed. He nearly stumbled backward as he marveled at the nail prints in his hands and the piercing in his side. The awe and glory that surrounded this replica was gripping. He wanted to share this statue with the people at Morningside. Through partners and raising funds, 10 months later the marble statue was delivered. The intense video shows the arrival of this statue and the problems getting it in place. Door jams had to be stripped down to the wood structure, just to allow the cranes to get through. The wooden crate that it was delivered in, will also be used to build an alter and seating around the statue.

It is Pastor Jim and Lori’s hope, that those who gather here will feel the need to pray just as they were. When the statue was situated in its resting place, the song “How Great Thou Art” was played. The lifelike hands and feet with the wounds from being beaten and hung on Calvary, stirs intense emotions. To think that the Lord of all creation took a beating and also hung and died just to set us free, is powerful. Every broken soul that walks past this statue will see exactly the reason why there is hope. There is hope in the name of the Lord and there is power in that name. The name of Jesus is the most powerful name, whereby we must be saved.

The Mayans saw 2012 as the end of the world as we know it. In fact they could be right, 2012 very well might be the last year for life as we have always known it. This year will be monumental for many reasons. The end time bible prophecy is heating up and times are progressively getting worse. Rick Joyner has laid down some frightening Bible prophecies for the year 2012. We, as Christians, must not fret, but realize that all these things must be. God is about to return to take his bride away. Those who prepare for his soon return will be called up to meet him in the clouds.

Pastor Jim feels a holy mandate to ask the church to be prepared. Not only should the church be prepared for the rapture, but also for perilous times on earth. There is no clear indication of how much of the tribulation that the church must go through. We must have fresh waters supplies and also have food for our entire families. The 20 year shelf life food, will allow a family to have plenty of meals that can be cooked over a campfire if necessary. We need to be ready for what is coming!

Scriptures

Matthew 11:28 KJV Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Isaiah 53:5 NKJV But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

John 3:14-18 KJV And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Psalm 20:5 NIV May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests.
