The “No Show Show” is Back!
Oh, how we missed you, Tammy Sue!
For those who are fans of the “No Show Show,” it’s been a very dry season in the last three weeks while Tammy was out with bronchitis. But the dry season is over and she’s back, along with the rest of the band, and we couldn’t be more excited!
You never know what’s going to happen on the “No Show Show!” Sometimes, the Holy Spirit takes complete control and it’s three hours of pure praise. And then sometimes, intercession is the order of the day as prayers for individuals, the nation, and our world come bubbling out of hearts hungry for God and His will. (more…)
George Beverly Shea Called Home
Our hearts and the hearts of millions are deeply saddened today by the news that the legendary Gospel singer George Beverly Shea, 104, has passed away. He will be deeply missed by millions who loved him and were touched by his ministry.
George was a faithful lifetime friend and ministry associate of Dr. Billy Graham. Billy Graham has been the voice of the Gospel to the world, and George Beverly Shea stood side-by-side with him, preaching and singing for over six decades. God gave Billy the words, and gave George the music and they harmoniously flowed together to deliver the Gospel to more than 200 million people worldwide. Millions have accepted Christ and walked down to an altar of salvation as Billy gave the invitation, and George sang – his deep rich baritone voice reverberating How Great Thou Art, Just as I Am, and I’d Rather Have Jesus.
One of my great honors was having George on my broadcast at PTL and having him stand next to me as we ministered the Gospel together.
He now stands with the hosts of heaven and sings a new song before the throne of God. Our loss is heaven’s gain, but we know one day we will be reunited.
Until then…. we will miss him.
Love,
Jim & Lori Bakker
Jim Bakker and John Paul Jackson Discuss Boston Tragedy
When a tragedy like the Boston Marathon bombing happens, people everywhere cry out for answers. Pastor Jim Bakker and John Paul Jackson discuss this and other acts of terrorism in America, a country that was once considered the safest place on earth.
Pastor Jim referred to an amazing recent word of knowledge the Lord gave him to “Pray for Boston” and played back the tape from December of 2012 when he gave this word on live television. He said he didn’t understand it, but he knew he had to be obedient to give the word.
We understand it now.
Both John Paul and Pastor Jim believe that the hedge of God’s protection has been let down and the enemy is able to breach our walls because of rebellion, lawlessness and disobedience. John Paul talked about a prophetic word years ago about explosions in cities, malls, sporting events, and schools – creating fear in the heart of America. (more…)
