Bahrain Weaponizing Tear Gas

Mark 13:8 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.

“We have so devalued human life in our society that for many people it is a small thing to kill another person.”

-Jim Bakker in “Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse”

The US-based rights group Physicians for Human Rights is claiming the government of Bahrain is weaponizing tear gas in an attempt to quell protests in the nation.

Activists in Bahrain say 30 people have been killed as a result of the specialized tear gas. Many more have been injured, maimed or blinded by toxic chemicals inside the canisters.

CS gas is the most commonly used chemical in tear gas around the world. No one has been able to confirm the makeup of the chemicals being used by the government against the civilian protesters.

PHR stated that the extensive use of tear gas by Bahraini forces during the last 18 months is unprecedented when viewing the last 100 years of tear gas history. In addition to the deaths, higher rates of miscarriage and respiratory problems are reported in the areas that have been repeatedly exposed to the gas.

The report also stated that gas was fired into the homes of non-protesters and into passing cars. At least two of the deaths came from people trapped inside enclosed spaces and exposed to high levels of the gas.

The government claims their forces stick to the international standards of crime control.
