CIA Stops New “Underwear Bomb” Plot By Al Qaeda

Rev 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

<blockquote>“The fact that we see signs of the four horsemen galloping through our world today should not fill our hearts with fear, but with excited anticipation that we are indeed the generation that will see the Lord’s coming in power and glory.”

US Intelligence officials have reported the stopping of a new “underwear bomb” plot by Al Qaeda’s Yemeni operatives similar to the failed 2009 Christmas Day plot.

The FBI is studying the bomb, allegedly an upgraded version of the underwear bomb used in 2009, after being seized in an unnamed middle eastern country. The plot was broken up in the early stages between the making of the bomb and before the public was put at any risk.

“These terrorists keep trying. They keep trying to devise more and more perverse and terrible ways to kill innocent people,” US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told reporters.

Officials said the bomb was made of materials that contained no metal in an attempt to pass through airport screening without detection. They admitted it was possible the new body scanners installed at US airports would not have detected the device.

The would-be bomber is reportedly alive although officials would not reveal if they were in custody.

“What this incident makes clear is that this country has to continue to remain vigilant against those that would seek to attack this country,” Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told reporters Monday. “We will do everything necessary to keep America safe.”
