Columbian Volcano Eruption Imminent

Luke 21:11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Statement of correlation between volcanoes and earthquakes: An earthquake is the shifting of the different tectonic plates of the earth’s surface. These plates float on magma (molten lava). Earthquakes and volcanoes are the result of magma beneath the earth’s surface pushing upwards on the tectonic plates. Scriptures that refer to earthquakes are therefore also deemed applicable to volcanoes.
<blockquote>“I believe the earth itself is groaning (Rom. 8:19-22) in anticipation of the Lord’s return. Part of this groaning includes floods, volcanoes, tidal waves, hurricanes, and earthquakes.”

Columbia’s Nevado del Ruiz volcano is “days or weeks” from erupting according to the Volcanic Observatory in Manizales, Columbia.

Smoke and ash is rising out of the volcano just days after an “orange alert” was issued leading to at least 150 families being evacuated from along rivers that flow down the mountain.

People living on the mountain’s slopes reported “strange noises” coming from the mountain’s summit over the weekend. The ash and smoke has reached the level that 30,000 face masks have been given out to residents in towns surrounding the volcano.

The airport in Manizales has been shut down due to ash and is expected to remain closed until the volcano goes dormant.

In 1985, an eruption from Navado del Ruiz caused a mudslide that killed over 25,000 people. The town of Armero along the banks of the Lagunilla river was almost completely wiped off the face of the earth. Glaciers and snow melted by the lava rushed down the hill at over 35 mph carrying rocks, mud and vegetation.

The volcano is located along the “Pacific Ring of Fire” that also experiences nearly daily earthquakes.
