No Peace for Israel

Luke 19:43-44 “The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”

Hamas is the largest and most influential Palestinian militant movement. Since attaining power in 2006, Hamas has continued its refusal to recognize the state of Israel. Historically, Hamas has sponsored an extensive terrorist wing, carrying out suicide bombings and attacks using mortars and short-range rockets from Palestinian areas into Israel.

Senior Palestinian leader, Moussa Abu- Marzouk (number-two figure in Hamas) said, in an interview this week, that if his Islamic (terrorist) group came to power in a future Palestinian state, it would not abide by any previous Palestinian peace deals with Israel.

Abu- Marzouk said, any potential future deal, even if ratified in a Palestinian referendum, would be considered only as “hudna” (a temporary truce agreement). Abu- Marzouk’s remarks draw attention to Hamas’ stance that it considers the Palestinians to be at war with the Jewish state.

The Palestinian leader stated his organization would never recognize Israel as a state. “It will be like the relationship between Lebanon and Israel or Syria and Israel,” he said. “This means a cease-fire rather than a peace treaty as Israel has with Jordan or Egypt.”

Moussa Abu- Marzouk explained further that the word, hudna means a false peace treaty which is concluded only between Muslims and non-Muslims. This peace treaty is for the benefit of the Muslim side, when they find themselves, at a certain point, too weak to carry on the “jihad.”

The aim of the “hudna” is to gain time in order to strengthen their Islamic military capabilities. At that point they can restart the war in a superior condition. “Hudna” also aims at tranquilizing the enemy into the belief that they have achieved peace, and catch them off guard. The Islamic side can abolish a “hudna” at will, even before the date it expires, if it feels strong enough to resume the war.

  1. Two options for the terrorist Hamas move them to their Arab friends who are right next door or just bomb them to bits. After all, Hamas in my language is ( NO MORE) that should be the the two only options for them. Thamk you God our true living God is in control.
