Taxpayers Will Pay For Abortions Through Obamacare

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV) “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God…”

Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.

The Office of Personnel Management told government employees Monday that members of Congress and their staffs can buy health care plans that pay for abortions even though the premiums are paid largely by taxpayer money.

The action appears to violate federal law prohibiting taxpayer funded abortion.

The OPM is claiming that health care plans offered by Obamacare exchanges are private. The agency then claimed they will make an effort to ensure that any plan which includes abortions will have that portion paid for by employee contributions to the plan.

Rep. Christopher Smith of New Jersey said the OPM is violating a 1983 law he wrote that prohibits them from covering abortions.

“You can’t break the law, Mr. President, and just issue a final rule as if somehow you’re comporting with the law,” Mr. Smith told The Washington Times. “We don’t want to subsidize abortion on demand, and the public is absolutely with us.”

Some Democrats praised the ruling using the OPM to pay for more abortions.

“This decision honors the spirit of the Affordable Care Act, which is significantly improving health care for women,” Reps. Rosa L. DeLauro of Connecticut and Louise McIntosh Slaughter of New York said in a joint statement. “All women, no matter where they work, deserve health care coverage that can meet their individual health care needs.”
