Twenty-Three Killed In Syrian Violence Tuesday

Rev 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

Four women and two children were part of twenty-three people killed as part of the ongoing violence in Syria.

The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights detailed an attack in Idlib province where nine members of one family were killed in a mortar attack by government forces.  Activists report twelve soldiers were also killed in the day’s fighting.

Maj. Gen. Robert Mood, commander of the UN observers, stated his concern with the decaying situation.

“The ceasefire violations and terrorist attacks yesterday are very worrying,” Maj. Gen. Mood stated in a press conference.  Mood said his contingent of 16 UN monitors will be increased to 100 by the middle of May.
