Remembering Paul Crouch

Jim Bakker & Paul Crouch

Our hearts are saddened by the news of Paul Crouch’s passing. Paul’s great accomplishment of building the world’s largest conglomerate of Christian television networks and stations is his living legacy that will continue to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to millions around the world. Paul’s passion for broadcasting influenced my life as a young boy when he was youth pastor of the church I attended in Muskegon, Michigan. Later on in life we worked together in the early years of Trinity Broadcasting Network. Paul Crouch is truly one of the fathers of Christian television.

  1. I WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR THAT PAUL PASSED ON TO BE WITH THE LORD. ALL I CAN REMEMBER IS HE LOVED THAT SONG BEULAH LAND SUNG BY MIKE PERKEY . I ALSO SHARE THAT LOVE FOR THAT SONG. WELL PAUL CROUCH YOU ARE THERE IN BEULAH LAND. AND MOST WITH OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. REST IN PEACE GOOD FRIEND.

  2. I was happy to see Jim’s tribute to Paul Crouch. I know Paul and Jim were once close, as were Jan and Tammy Faye. I watched Paul & Jan’s show Praise The Lord a whole lot during the early and mid 80s, I lost track of it for quite a few years after my cable company stopped carrying it. I got it back a few years ago when I moved and started getting DirecTV. My point is, I was actually watching TBN one night long ago when Paul said “I learned everything I know about running a business from Jim Bakker”. I may not have the quote precisely correct, he could have said “network” rather than business. But that was the gist of it, and he said it on nationwide TV, on his own show. This was before the Heritage USA thing and Jim’s time of trouble. He probably never said that again later on. But I hope and pray that their friendship survived behind the scenes, because everyone falls down at one time or another. Both men are important Christian leaders and both need forgiveness and love. Not just from the Lord – they have that. But also from anyone who calls himself a Christian. Rest in peace Paul, you did a big job and did it well. And Jim, you are still here, which makes me very happy. Keep up the great work, and thanks for remembering Paul Crouch.

  3. My heart was saddened at Paul Crouch’s passing. TBN has been such a blessing to me. I lived in Dallas for 13 1/2 years and TBN programming brought me through tough times. I am from Muskegon, MI so I feel such a tie to Jim Bakker too. I followed his ministry before I moved to Dallas in 1982. Jim is from Muskegon and Paul and Jan had their son Matthew here at Hackley Hospital. How blessed am I to have come from such a rich spiritual heritage! God’s comfort to Jan and the Crouch family!

  4. ALL OF US FEEL A TERRIBLE VOID AFTER HEARING OF PAULS DEATH..MAY GOD KEEP HIS ARMS AROUND HIS GRIEVING FAMILY , AND HELP GUIDE THEM TO CONTINUE THE WORK OF PAUL, WHO HELPED AMERICA AND THE WORLD TO KNOW MORE ABOUT JESUS. GOD BLESS ALL OF THE TRINITY FAMILY, ALWAYS

  5. Paul Crouch’s passing is another sign that Jesus is coming soon. Paul was certainly chosen by to God to take the Gospel message around the world and to the corners of the earth. This he has accomplished. Now it is time for Jesus to appear and call all believers home.
