An eye-witness reported, “A vehicle stopped here and six people wearing burqas got out and entered the alley carrying black bags in their hands. When they entered the alley, there was an explosion.” Afghan soldiers rushed to the scene. Explosions and gunfire continued for hours.

Why anyone would want to claim responsibility for the murder of innocent people, I don’t know. None the less, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack.

“This was a message to Obama that those are not real Afghans that are signing documents about this country,” Mujahid said. “The real Afghan nation is those people that are not letting foreign invaders stay in this country or disrespect the dignity of our country.”

Can we really look at the facts that presented themselves hours after Obama left Afghanistan in the form of al-Qaeda terrorism within the country and believe the mainstream media or others when they tell us it is better now?

Election years certainly do bring out the impetus in our politicians to take credit for wrapping things up and claiming victory for fixing things that remain broken.
