Greeks Make Run On Banks

Rev 6:5,6 NCV When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse, and its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard something that sounded like a voice coming from the middle of the four living creatures. The voice said, "A quart of wheat for a day's pay, and three quarts of barley for a day's pay, and do not damage the olive oil and wine!"

Greek citizens rushed to withdraw money from banks as the threat of economic failure continues to grow.
Over 700 million euros were withdrawn from banks ($894 million American dollars).  Greece’s president, Karolos Papoulias, revealed the information during discussions with leaders of rival political groups.
The president said he was told by the central bank governor the bank’s situation is very difficult.  He said the banking system was called “very weak”.
President Papoulias said there was no panic yet.
The economic uncertainty has increased after Greek political parties were unable to reach a coalition government.  Another round of elections is scheduled for June.

  1. Given the current circumstances and probable future outcomes in Greece I pray that the brothers and sisters have planned as best as possible for future events (emergency life supplies). Also they have prepared first and foremost for the sharing of their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to their fellow countrymen.

I pray that the Lord will give my brothers and sisters in Greece great insight into his wisdom, peace, power and courage for the working of the good news.
