Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al al-Shaikh, Saudi Arabia’s top Islamic cleric declared that, “It is necessary to destroy all the churches of the region.”
This edict has put Christian churches throughout the Arabian Peninsula in great danger. Christianity is already forbidden in Saudi Arabia and no churches exist there. The implications of the cleric’s words were that the church ban should extend to other countries in the region, including Yemen, Kuwejt, Bahrain, Katar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates.
The prophet Mohammed decreed on his deathbed: “There are not to be two religions on the Arabian Peninsula.” Some Muslims see this as an order to cleanse the area of all Christian influence.
Can you imagine the Islamic uproar if we were to suggest that “all mosques in Italy must be destroyed.” If we were to do such a thing and offend Islam, there would be a media frenzy hit us, screaming “intolerance,” demanding retractions and apologies.
Why are we Christians not as vocal as the Muslims? Why does it not bother us when someone wants to take prayer out of our schools, remove the cross from our churches and take references of “God the Father” or “The Son, Jesus” from our Bible?
Aid workers in Syria have confirmed that terrorists with ties to al-Qaida have launched the “ethnic cleansing of minority Christians” in Syria. 90% of the Christians in Homs fled their homes. A Dutch aid group said “They have fled to the mountains. We have reports that Islamists “cleansed” the Homs areas of Christians without giving them the opportunity to take anything with them.” The Syrian exodus of 50,000 people mainly took place in the last six weeks.
In Yemen a gunman shot an American school teacher. Al Qaeda said he was guilty of spreading Christian ideals, calling him one of the biggest missionaries in the Yemen nation. The word, “Missionary” is considered to be a bad word when used in this context.
The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has outlined plans for a strict brand of religious law, that critics say could limit personal freedoms, steering them toward an Islamic state. In the midst of the political turmoil, anti-Christian attacks have continued.
"Powstanie naród przeciw narodowi, i królestwo przeciw królestwu. I będzie głód, zarazy, i trzęsienia ziemi w różnych miejscach. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.” Matt. 24:7-10
Do you think this cannot happen to you? Think again; look around, kłopot, this way comes.
