Researchers in Japan have a new system that will increase internet data transmission rates to 20 times over the most common internet wi-fi standard. The research claims that the “T-Ray” band could offer huge amounts of bandwidth that has been previously unavailable to businesses and consumers.

The band is between the microwave and the far-infrared regions of the spectrum and it’s currently unregulated, allowing anyone to use the space. (more…)

Greeks Make Run On Banks

Greek citizens rushed to withdraw money from banks as the threat of economic failure continues to grow.
Over 700 million euros were withdrawn from banks ($894 million American dollars).  Greece’s president, Karolos Papoulias, revealed the information during discussions with leaders of rival political groups. (more…)
A former Taliban minister who had been a go-between in potential peace talks was assassinated as he headed toward a meeting with the government about reconciliation.
Mullah Arsaia Rahmani had been living in Kabul under protection from the Afghan Intelligence Service.  He died when a gunman approached his car and opened fire.  The assassin escaped according to another member of the Council. (more…)

It’s the largest war games in the Middle East in 10 years and Israel was not invited to play in Jordan’s sand box. Nineteen others are taking part in the games right there in Israel’s back yard. Just to name a few of the participants: Jordan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Egypt, Bahrain, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Britain, France, Spain and Australia.

Israel currently has a peace treaty with Jordan but was not invited to participate in the exercises. Several Arab nations participating in the drill are still formally at war with the Jewish state. There are issues here that have never been resolved. (more…)

Two people were killed in a terrorist attack on Columbia’s former Interior Minister.
The former minister, Fernando Londono, was injured in the attack.  His bodyguard and his driver were killed in the assault.  Londono remains in a Bogota hospital in stable condition.
In addition to the deaths, around 40 people were injured in the attack. (more…)

Accused Israeli Spy Executed

Iran has executed Majid Jamali Fashi for being an Israeli spy. He was convicted of killing 50 year old Masoud Ali Mohammadi in January 2010, a professor at Tehran University and whose role in Iran’s nuclear program was unclear. His killing was meant to slow down the production of Iran’s nuclear weapons experiments. (more…)

Strong words coming out of Iran. Iran has been claiming the United States has been forced to humble themselves before Iran and their nuclear plans. “This shows weakness on the part of West and is paving the way for the Iran Islamic regime to annihilate the Jewish state.” (more…)

The potential removal of Greece from the Euro rocked the markets in Europe on Monday.

Ten year borrowing costs in Italy and Spain rose to their highest levels this year and stock markets had their biggest one-day drop in three weeks. Ten year bonds in Germany fell to a record low. (more…)
