I Am Somebody!

I wondered why somebody didn’t do something. Then I realized, I am somebody. ~Author Unknown

I’ve heard so many people say that this task of getting prepared for disasters is just too much for them. Some have no support or backing whatsoever from anyone in their family, and consider it a daunting task to go it alone. Some have made a gallant start and then run into resistance by financial circumstances or other situations beyond their control. Some wouldn’t be caught dead (pun unintended) prepping, afraid that others would think they were really “out there.” And others have good intentions to do it someday.

But recently, those who have never been preppers before are starting to get prepared now. There’s something going on in people’s hearts that tells them it’s time and no more procrastinating!

When Hurricane Katrina hit, my sister-in-law who lives and works in the D.C. area said that every single person had a grab-n-go bag. Nobody was saying anything, but the government workers all had a grab-n-go bags right near their desks. My thoughts were that if government employees were being told to prepare, shouldn’t I pay attention and at least get my own family ready? Right then, I went out and bought backpacks for each one of our family and started filling them up and it was overwhelming trying to find all the pieces that I needed. It took forever.

That’s why you shouldn’t wait until you need something to get it ready!

What are you going to do if you have to be isolated or quarantined by an epidemic? Jim teaches about the Great Influenza of 1918, and the only way they were saved was to remain at home without any contact with the outside word.

No Walmart.

No Kroger’s.

No McDonald’s.

Their only safe havens were inside their homes. Be sure you have food, water, whatever medicines you need, and a myriad of other daily necessities!

And what will you do if the power goes out?   You will need all of the above plus fire starters, things to cook on, and an alternate energy source.

More and more, people everywhere are waking up and coming to the realization that something big could very well happen in this country, and getting prepared will give them and the ones they love a fighting chance.

Our Ready Now Expo this year is the best attended that we have had so far – and we know why. We’re all feeling it. And it is our hope that those who are still asleep will watch our programs and awaken to the dangers of doing nothing.

We are presenting the realities of the dangerous day we live in – not to scare people – but to enlighten them to the opportunities they have to alleviate unnecessary suffering, and possibly keep themselves from being forced to join an antichrist system.

We have been given the Word of God to keep us aware of the times and seasons. We were given the stars and the moon and the sun for signs and signals. We were given the prophets, past and present, to warn us of things to come. And we are given the Holy Spirit of God to bear witness with our spirits that this is a day unlike any other.

Don’t put it off any longer. Don’t be one who looks around after a disaster and says, “Why didn’t we do something?” We saw all the signs, we heard all the warnings, but we just didn’t act on it!

One day soon, we will be saying, “Today is the day of the fulfillment of everything we’ve heard.”

Let’s all be ready!

  1. Lori, my daughter and I had the blessing of going to Israel last November with Rabbi Johnathan Cahn and Joseph Farah. We attended the Expo the day the Rabbi was there and plan to come back in December when he is again at Morningside. You and Jim and all the kids you are taking to Israel will be in our prayers and I’m looking forward to all the filming you plan to do over there and show on your tv program. It’s a whirlwind of activity with the Rabbi–he wants his groups to experience it all–you will have a wonderful time. I just discovered Morningside in August when my husband and I were returning home to Joplin from Branson and decided to take the road less traveled, Hwy 86, saw your sign and stopped in. I have been back several times and now watch your show daily. God bless you and your family and ministry.
