Luke 19:43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.
The Israeli Air Force is gearing up for nuclear facility attacks in Iran according to a major television station in Israel.
Meanwhile, Tehran has been given “five weeks to continue enrichment without any limitation, any inhibition,” says the disgusted Prime Minister of Israel, Netanyahu. The U.N. meeting in Istanbul included, Russia, China, Britain, France, the US and Germany.
The next talks with Iran have been scheduled in Bagdad on May 23.
The Iranian delegation says they see few encouraging points in the remarks from the United States and European Union. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad restated, the Islamic Republic will not surrender its nuclear rights “even under the most difficult pressure.”
Iranians are reportedly demanding an American and European commitment not to carry out a military attack on their country as long as the talks continue.
President Obama says more Iran sanctions are coming if talks continue to drag out. US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta stated he believes there is strong likelihood Israel will attack Iran before June.
Israel suspects Iran is only playing for more time in order to develop their nuclear weapons. Benjamin Netanyahu voiced irritation, “I think Iran should take immediate steps: first stop all enrichment, take out all the enriched material and dismantle the nuclear facility in Qom. I believe that the world’s greatest practitioner of terrorism must not have the opportunity to develop atomic bombs.”
Israeli defense officials are skeptical the talks will bear any fruit. The speculation is that Israel may remain quiet until May 23, in order to allow the West to try and get the job done. But if that doesn’t happen, the military option will quickly move back to the top of the list. The beginning of summer is a favorable time for military air-strikes because of the clear skies and better weather.
The Sunday night broadcast over Israel TV detailed how the IAF will attack Iran nuclear facilities in the event that diplomacy fails. The Israeli government fully expects a military conflict with Iran will trigger a war in northern Israel with missile attacks from Hezbollah in Lebanon. The TV announcer, Ben-David also said, “There will be no tranquility and peace anywhere in Israel.”
This will be the first full-scale war Israel has fought in nearly 30 years. Pilots have already been told where their families will be moved, away from the military bases and out of harm’s way. Ben-David also reported, if negotiations break down, and Iran moves further strategic nuclear programs underground, the IAF “is likely to get the order and to set out on the long journey to Iran.”
Israeli national television revealed, “Years of preparations are likely to come to realization. The moment of truth is near.”
