Franklin Graham Tells Pastors To Stop Being Cowards

Luke 21:25,26 NAS “There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay (tension from difficult circumstances that "won't move" which produces distress or anguish – causing someone to feel "locked in" or “tightly pressed”) among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting (lose morale, become disheartened, like lapsing into temporary unconsciousness) from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world...

Reverend Franklin Graham took a bold stand in addressing pastors at the Watchmen on the Wall National Briefing, telling them that it’s time for God’s leaders to stop being cowards.

In his speech, titled “Standing Strong on the Controversial Issues,” Graham focused on Revelation 21:8 where God lists eight groups of people who will be “in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”  First on that list was the cowardly.

“The definition of a coward: a coward will not confront an issue that needs to be confronted due to fear. That is a coward,” said Graham.  “God hates cowards. And the cowards that the Lord is referring to are the men and women who know the truth but refuse to speak it.”

Graham said that America needs God’s men and women to stand up and speak the truth of the Scriptures with boldness and that “you’re not going to shut me up.”  He said that he’s spoken with many pastors who say they want to preach the gospel but don’t want to become the target of anti-Christian activists.

“Well don’t you think the Lord Jesus Christ was a target?” asked Graham. “Could we get our heads chopped off? We could, maybe one day. So what? Chop it off!”

Other speakers at the event included Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, Bishop Harry Jackson and Pastor Rafael Cruz, father of Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

  1. / I spotted this interesting and informative little article about Franklin Graham. God bless you all. /

Franklin Graham’s warning of coming persecution of Christians echoes what his mother Ruth and father Billy have clearly stated.
In a Google article titled “Letter from Mrs. Billy Graham,” Ruth stated that “I would rather prepare myself to go through the tribulation and be happily surprised by an unexpected rapture, than expect to be raptured only to find myself going through tribulation.”
Her husband, Billy, had this to say: “Perhaps the Holy Spirit is getting His Church ready for a trial and tribulation such as the world has never known.” He stated this on p. 72 in Sam Shoemaker’s book “Under New Management,” and the same quote is also found in a Google piece entitled “Famous Rapture Watchers – Addendum.”
To see the rest of Franklin’s message which can no longer be ignored or censored (!), Google “Franklin Graham’s Warning” which can be found on Joe Ortiz’s “End Times Passover” blog.

  2. Amen…Amen and Amen! i have to agree totally. can’t they / pastors see it or don’t they know GODS word… or is it that their cowards? as it does say in Ezekiel 33, (the watchmen on the wall) you .. yes “YOU.” the PASTORS are responsible for those when you see trouble coming and do not warn your people / your church. if they die because you DID NOT warn the people when trouble is coming, it is by their blood that will be on your head!

  3. When I was in high school the teacher wanted to teach Darwin. I raised my hand. She graciously acknowledged me. I said I want equal time for Christ to be taught. She said she’d only be teaching this once about Darwin for 15 min & I was to sit down. I reiterated that I’d sit if Jesus got equal time. I was then told to go out in the hall. I complied. She came out behind me. Told me again that she was only going to teach. Darwin for 15 minutes & I was to quietly go back & sit down. I said no, absolutely not unless Jesus got equal time! She rather discretely told me to just go in & sit down that she wouldn’t teach Darwin. I am now 66. I don’t see anything different. There is no law against Christianity. People say it’s illegal to have a bible in school. Really! According to what law? Franklin Graham is so right on!!!

  4. Thank you Lord for those that stand strong and not in fear we know where we are going period… pastors stop, now think of that. I am not a pastor or even pretend to understand what a pastors life is like but I do understand the Lords word on what he said you will answer to as you cower to anti-Christian activists. To me that’s just inviting them in to kill steal and destroy you which = Fear, come on fight, fight we are all Soldiers in the kingdom of God. I mean think about it, have not all of us lost our head already at one time or another so…..? stand strong and know that He is with you.

“Also, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about something and pray for it, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.” -Matthew 18:19
