The year 2012 will be significant in Bible prophecy. -Pastor Jim Bakker

Narrative

The Lord has really impressed Pastor Jim to get ready. He feels a strong urging from the Holy Spirit that fellow Christians need to prepare themselves for the upcoming events. Pastor Jim is unsure of whether the church will go through portions of the tribulation or none at all. At the very minimal the church will experience a lack of food and things will become increasingly difficult for families to maintain. He cannot stress enough the importance of the church being prepared for the perilous times.

Pastor Jim shares that he is concerned for those who are on fixed budgets and can’t get a hold of the extra they need. The ministry, through the help of our partners, was able to send food to Moldova. Due to the government in Moldova not allowing the food through customs, the ministry will now be giving this food away through the ministry’s food pantry. The money for the shipping of the food to Moldova will go directly to Stella’s House so that they may buy the food themselves.

Reading through the Bible and getting direction from the Holy Spirit, he feels 2012 is going to have significance in Biblical prophecy. He believes as twelve is a perfect number it will have something powerful to do in the end times. The number 12 means completeness and organization. God uses twelve many times in his scriptures such as twelve hours of light and darkness. There are twelve months, twelve disciples and twelve tribes of Israel. God believes in having things in order; however, the devil wants people to be in confusion.

For 2012 Pastor Jim believes that confusion is what will be taking place. While riding with a well known lawyer, Pastor Jim asked him about the current justice system. After some debating the lawyer admitted that it is not about who is right or wrong, but simply who hires the best lawyer. There is no criminal justice system anymore, it is nothing but confusion. The devil is the author of confusion and as Christians it is time to rise up and understand the times that are upon us.

The church needs to know what they need to do to make it. The church needs to stand against the devil and he will flee. Christians need to devote themselves totally to God. Together the church is powerful but divided they cannot stand. The Bible says that if we draw near to God, he will camp around us. With the confusion of 2012, Pastor Jim believes there is great deception coming. A great deal of people will wake up and realize that they have been deceived. The only thing to help one avoid confusion is knowing the word of God and having it ingrained inside of our beings.

Expounding on the scriptures that loving money is a path to destruction, Pastor Jim tells the church to be concerned about their spiritual status more than financial one. He points out various scriptures that tell the church to avoid the things of the world and the love of money. By clinging close to God, he will supply all of our needs. Jesus never had anything good to say about money. He often taught in parables about the rich and the disadvantages that wealth brought.

Pastor Jim has often received criticism because he does not buy into the prosperity doctrine. He says that people often say that he offers products on the air, but that is only to pay the bills of the ministry and nothing more. He does not believe in selling blessings or if one gives to his ministry that all their needs will be met. He does not offer indulgences, but rather products that one needs to be ready for the end times.
