Mores (Pt. 1)

Mores is defined as a set of moral norms or customs derived from generally accepted practices by groups such as Islamists or secularists with humanistic philosophies. Mores are derived from the established practices of a society rather than the written laws of God.

Morality is and should be a universal absolute. God showed man their shortcomings with the Ten Commandments. Without absolute truth there will always be immorality.

The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17 NKJV)

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

“You shall not make for yourself a carved image. You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.

“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.

“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

“You shall not murder.

“You shall not commit adultery.

“You shall not steal.

“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

From the beginning of Western thought, religion and morality have been closely intertwined. This is true whether we go back within Greek philosophy or within Christianity and Judaism.

The Judeo-Christian ethic calls for morality and God is the same yesterday, today and forever. The Ten Commandments are not the Ten Suggestions! Not one jot or tittle has passed away from the law.

This is the time to be prepared spiritually and physically for the coming of our Messiah Yeshua, Jesus. It is time to start living the way we were intended to live. This is a chosen generation. We were born for a time such as this. In our daily headlines we see the ancient mysteries are being revealed.

The Great Tribulation of God’s Wrath is to come. However, we know that as Christians we are not destined for His wrath. On the live-streaming Jim Bakker Show today Jim Bakker and John Shorey talked about the refining and purifying process and the time of pressure (tribulation) that we must go through.

Be strong in His might! Do not give the devil place in your life. Spiritual warfare is increasing; Lucifer knows the time of judgment is fast approaching. Morality is more than just a word, it’s a lifestyle.

Revelation 21:8 KJV “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
