One Nation Under God

“A country must assert its Christianity to prevent moral collapse. We are a Christian nation and should not be afraid to stand up for Christian values. This is a country where ‘Live and let live,’ has become a creed to live by and has often been interpreted as ‘do what you please.’ Our ‘passive tolerance’ of immoral behavior has fueled excess and allowed home-grown Islamic terror to grow, because we have become afraid to speak up and say, ‘We are Christians.’

The Bible has helped to shape the values which define our country, give us a set of values and morals which make this nation what it is today. We should actively stand up for and defend these Biblical values and morals. Moral neutrality should not be an option.

We must stand up for our values if we are to confront the slow-motion moral collapse that has taken place in parts of our country these past few generations. Moral neutrality or passive tolerance just isn’t going to cut it anymore. Shying away from speaking the truth about behavior, about morality, has actually helped to cause the social problems.

Responsibility, hard work, charity, compassion, humility, self-sacrifice, love, pride in working for the common good and honoring the social obligations we have to one another, to our families and our communities — these are the values we treasure. Yes, they are Christian values. And we should not be afraid to acknowledge that.”

While you have been reading this, you might have thought, these are the words of a great leader in our country, maybe even one who is running for the office of president, or possibly words that were spoken long ago.

Even as the words “We are no longer a Christian nation,” are echoing in my head, I am reminded that freedom comes at a cost. The cost has been high, all the more reason we cannot allow countries like Iran or the growing threat of radicle Islam within our borders to dilute the message of Jesus the Christ, His blood, His cross and the true Messiah, who is to return soon. It is time to stand up and be heard.

Why are we so concerned that we might offend radical Islam with the truth? They are certainly very vocal about all the infidels who do not believe in Islam (like us) going to hell.

The quote above was spoken recently by the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister of Great Britain, David Cameron at an event in Oxford, southern England, to mark the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.
