Tele-evangelists have reported that the message of God’s grace and inner peace is touching lives through the ethereal waves of Christian broadcasting. The harvest is great but the workers are few.
Hazem Farraj hosts “Reflections,” a satellite program for Muslims. He said he often gets feedback about spiritual dreams and visions.
One woman told him, “I turned on the television and there you were … the words that were coming out of your mouth were so peaceful . . . I fell asleep. I ended up having a vision of Jesus and I saw the Lord. As soon as I looked over I knew that Christ was the sacrifice, the son of the God.”
All you usually hear coming out of the Middle East is bad news, violence and turmoil. Jesus (Yeshua) said “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
Tom Doyle and his wife Joanna take the gospel of Jesus to the Muslim world. In the midst of Middle Eastern revolution and they see a spiritual earthquake happening that will lead the way to end-time harvest. “As things heat up politically and spiritually within Islam, man, the Holy Spirit is moving even more powerfully,” Joanna said. “This is the time when hearts are open, people are desperate, governments are changing,” her husband added. “Everybody’s foundation has massive cracks in it and Jesus is the answer that can come in and fill that need.”
There was a story in Charisma magazine about a young Muslim man who made a pilgrimage to Mecca a few years ago. He went to fulfill the requirements of Islam. Looking back on that time in his life he relates, “That night I saw Jesus in a dream. First, Jesus touched my forehead with his finger. And after touching me, He said, ‘You belong to me’, and then He touched me above my heart. ‘You have been saved, follow me. You belong to me,’ He said.”
Many veteran missionaries to the Muslim world say dreams and visions, along with satellite television and live streaming Christian shows via the world-wide internet are introducing Muslims to Jesus in unprecedented numbers.
The rise of Christianity and the spread of its secret home churches in Iran are seen as a serious threat by the Islamic state’s senior clerics. Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani has been declaring that Christianity is deceiving Qom’s own Shi’ites and demands that the Christian evangelism be exterminated from the city.
Tehran, Iran’s Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi released new strategies to come against the growth of “Christian propaganda,” even in the city of Qom, the religious capital of Iran and the center of the Shi’ite world. It doesn’t seem too intelligent; his very plans prove they cannot control the spread of Christianity.
