Syrian Shells Hit Mount Herman
Posted May 17, 2013By: Jan Douglas Bish
Mount Herman is located in northern Israel. It’s a beautiful setting but parts of the Golan can be very dangerous. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, “Hermon” means a “Forbidden Place.” However, Israeli Defense Forces moved into the Golan Heights with heavy equipment this week because of the Syrian threat.
The atmosphere is tense and anything could happen. Russia sent 12 warships to Syria, apparently as a warning to Israel and to Western officials who might be thinking about military intervention against President Assad. Syria’s bloody civil war has now claimed the lives of over 80,000 people. Read more »

Anti-Christ System Already at Work
Posted May 15, 2013By: Jan Douglas Bish
Jesus is the one true Christ, there is no other. His wisdom planned this creation and His power upholds and guides the universe. Jesus is admired, loved and adored by His followers. Every living creature, every plant and every flower speaks of His wisdom and skill. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1) Read more »
Pentagon at War with Christians
Posted May 14, 2013By: Jan Douglas Bish
Was it Christians that attacked the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. or the Twin Towers in New York on 9/11 or on the streets of Boston? No! The culprits were reported to be Muslims.
There was a practice during the Bush administration that the Pentagon would use Bible quotes on the cover page of the daily intelligence briefings sent to the White House. The daily briefings were prepared for President Bush with quotes from the books of Psalms and Ephesians and the epistles of Peter. However, these (Christian) reports offended at least one Muslim analyst at the Pentagon and worried other employees that the passages might be inappropriate and the Biblical messages were deleted from the Pentagon reports. Golan Heights in Contention
Posted May 13, 2013By: Jan Douglas Bish
After 40 years of basic peace and relative quiet in the Golan Heights of Israel, contention arises after Israel strikes a military camp and weapons storehouse near Damascus where advanced Iranian weapons were being transported from Syria to the Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon.
The Golan borders Lebanon to the north, a demilitarized zone to the east bordering Syria and Jordan to the south. I have looked down on the peaceful farmland in Israel from the Heights and been as far north as what they use to call “the good fence,” the Lebanese border. People who lived in Lebanon would be allowed to travel across this border to work in Israel and use Israeli hospitals, etc. Read more »

Cairo on Edge of Anarchy
Posted May 8, 2013By: Jan Douglas Bish
This has not been a good year for President Mohamed Mursi of Egypt or the Muslim Brotherhood. Lawlessness, bootleg guns, knives and machetes rule the streets of Cairo and it might appear that there is no escape to the peace and safety they once knew.
Hussein is a machine parts fabricator by day and the maker of illegal guns at night. He sells his guns to middlemen for around $435 each. “Fear is big business nowadays,” Hussein (54 years old) says. “People buy the guns because they’re afraid. People buy the guns because they want to scare others. We’re in a jungle now.” Read more »
Christian Persecution on the Rise
Posted May 7, 2013By: Jan Douglas Bish
The world wants to call it “profiling” as though that is a bad word. Actually it is calling a spade a spade. Christians are being persecuted by Muslim nations! Extremist Muslims are the ones setting off bombs in the midst of civilian populations and flying planes into buildings. Islamic radicals have a hatred for all who are non-Muslims. In these last days, lines are being drawn in the Arab sands and sides are being chosen for battles yet to be fought.
The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom recently reported: “The flight of Christians out of the Islamic regions is unprecedented and it’s increasing year by year. Christians might disappear altogether from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Egypt” within our lifetime. Read more »

Damascus, the capital city of Syria is known to be the world’s oldest continuously inhabited city, inhabited since prehistoric times, but we live in a time that will see the utter destruction of this grand city. Bible prophecy is being fulfilled in front of us, day by day. Read more »
