Will Damascus Strike Tel Aviv, Israel?

Israel finds itself between a rock and a hard place as Syria readies a number of advanced weapons to strike Israel if they decide to assault Hezbollah on Syrian soil again. Israel has warned Syria to stop supplying Hezbollah with Iranian arms. Iran and Syria are longtime allies against Israel and Hezbollah has been a proxy for Iran.

Meanwhile the United States is sending weapons and assistance to the Syrian rebels that consist of many different terrorist groups of extremist Muslims who are fighting against the Assad regime in Damascus. (more…)

Syrian Shells Hit Mount Herman

Mount Herman is located in northern Israel. It’s a beautiful setting but parts of the Golan can be very dangerous. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, “Hermon” means a “Forbidden Place.” However, Israeli Defense Forces moved into the Golan Heights with heavy equipment this week because of the Syrian threat.

The atmosphere is tense and anything could happen. Russia sent 12 warships to Syria, apparently as a warning to Israel and to Western officials who might be thinking about military intervention against President Assad. Syria’s bloody civil war has now claimed the lives of over 80,000 people. (more…)

Golan Heights in Contention

After 40 years of basic peace and relative quiet in the Golan Heights of Israel, contention arises after Israel strikes a military camp and weapons storehouse near Damascus where advanced Iranian weapons were being transported from Syria to the Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon.

The Golan borders Lebanon to the north, a demilitarized zone to the east bordering Syria and Jordan to the south. I have looked down on the peaceful farmland in Israel from the Heights and been as far north as what they use to call “the good fence,” the Lebanese border. People who lived in Lebanon would be allowed to travel across this border to work in Israel and use Israeli hospitals, etc. (more…)

Middle East Catastrophe Spreads

What began as a peaceful protest in Damascus became a dangerous demonstration and a political uprising. Terror groups started flowing into Syria and turned the conflict into an armed struggle and a civil war. Now we see a regional war with more than 70,000 deaths.

Hezbollah out of Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Russia and now Israel are physically involved in this war. Turkey and Jordan have taken in hundreds of thousands of refugees as the conflict has reached across many borders and the U.S. considers becoming more deeply involved. (more…)

Hezbollah Says Syria Will Provide “Game-Changing Weapons”

The head of the terrorist group Hezbollah told a gathering in Beirut that Syria is going to be providing their group with “game-changing weapons” less than a week after alleged Israeli airstrikes destroyed a shipment of Iranian missiles that were being transported out of Syria.

Israel has not admitted being behind the strikes but did say that they would strike against any shipment of missiles bound for the terrorist group. (more…)

Syrian President Green-Lights Attacks On Israel

Syrian state TV announced that President Bashar al-Assad had activated Palestinian groups to attack Israel.

Media linked to the terrorist group Hezbollah, however, stated that only “popular committees” had been formed by Lebanon and Syria in response to Israel’s attacks in Syria and that those committees are “ready to fight Israel.” (more…)
