Revelation 6:7,8 NCV When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!"8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse. Its rider was named death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill people by war, by starvation, by disease, and by the wild animals of the earth.

H7N9virusThe Centers for Disease Control has released a report showing an almost 20% mortality rate for the H7N9 bird flu breaking out across China.

The CDC says the virus appears to have struck older people, a majority of them male, and have admitted that while bird-to-people transmission seems the most common transmission some human-to-human has taken place.

“Although no evidence of sustained (ongoing) human-to-human spread of this virus has been identified; small family clusters have occurred where human-to-human spread cannot be conclusively ruled out,” the CDC report says.

The CDC’s May 10 edition of the “Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report” said that as of April 29th, China confirmed 126 infections and 24 deaths for a 19% mortality rate.  H7N9 is being called Avian Influenza and has been found in chickens, ducks and pigeons.

The causes of death from the virus has been Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome or multi-organ failure.
