Anti-Christianist Forces College Football Team To Stop Honoring Fallen Classmates

A cross that was placed on the helmets of Arkansas State University football helmets to remember two fallen classmates is being removed after anti-Christianists demanded they be removed.

The helmets had the initials of ASU player Markel Owens, who had been murdered in a January home invasion along with equipment manager Barry Weyer who died in a car accident this year.

“My job is to support our players and our coaches in their expression of any type of grief, and that’s what I was doing,” athletics director Terry Mohajir told USA Today Sports. “It is unfortunate, and I am disappointed. However, we’re also going to uphold whatever legal advice we got, and that’s what we did based on the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution. That’s what we were told we needed to do. So that’s what we did.”

Jonesboro, Arkansas attorney Louis Nisenbaum is the man who wanted to prohibit the players from honoring their fallen classmates and make sure that the Christian emblem was removed from being seen in public.

The virulent anti-Christian group Freedom From Religion Foundation, which strives to remove Christians from society, called the move “great news.”

Pastor Who Shares Space With Black Mass Location Speaks Out

A pastor whose church meets in a space that is about to be defiled by Satanists performing a “black mass” and mock exorcism is speaking out about his church’s place of worship being degraded with government approval.

Tom Mannin of Oklahoma City Community Church worships in the same Oklahoma City Civic Center where the Satanists will mock Christianity later this month.

“As a church, we want to respond as people of love, who are consistent with the teachings of Jesus and the ways he responded to those who rejected him and even hated him,” Mannin wrote.  “So we will speak gracefully and peacefully of the people at the black mass gathering. We will pray for God’s love to abound in our city and among its people of varying belief.”

The mass reportedly has sold out in a theater space of 92 people.  The event has received significant backlash from the community for their stated intent of mocking Christianity and the fact they had stolen sacred items from a Catholic church for use in the mass (that was later returned.)

The group conducting the mass is not even local; it is a New York City group.

ISIS Three Times Larger Than Previously Believed

ISIS is reportedly much larger than many world leaders had previously believed when decisions were being made to create an international coalition.

The CIA has released a new study showing that ISIS could have as many as 31,000 terrorist fighters, three times higher than previously thoughts by intelligence agencies.

“This new total reflects an increase in members because of stronger recruitment since June following battlefield successes and the declaration of a caliphate, greater battlefield activity, and additional intelligence,” CIA spokesman Ryan Trapani told the BBC.

The announcement comes on a day that 10 Arab countries formalized their pledges to help the U.S. stop the Islamic terrorist group.  Ministers from Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates all pledged military support and humanitarian aid.

“The region recognizes the danger that has been unleashed and they are full-throatedly ready to deal with that and that is why they committed today to take the actions they have committed to,” Secretary of State Kerry said to reporters.

Maryland College Hit With Second Lawsuit Over Rejecting Christian Students

A Maryland community college is again facing a lawsuit for rejecting a student due to his Christian faith.

The American Center for Law and Justice has filed suit against Community College of Baltimore County on behalf of Dustin Buxton after they denied him permission to enter their radiation therapy program.

Buxton had cited his faith during his interview as an applicant.

“During that interview in 2013, Dustin was asked by the CCBC interview panel, ‘What do you base your morals on?’ Dustin replied, ‘My faith,’” ACLJ attorney Michelle Terry outlined in a report this week. “His faith was not mentioned again, yet, in a written review of his interview, the program director, Adrienne Dougherty, stated that Dustin had lost points because ‘[Dustin] also brought up religion a great deal during the interview. Yes, this is a field that involves death and dying; but religion cannot be brought up in the clinic by therapist or students.’”

The ACLJ had filed suit against the same school for denying Brandon Jenkins entry into the same program because of his Christian beliefs.

Pakistani Christian Arrested Accused Of Burning Koran

A Pakistani man who converted from Hinduism to Christianity has been arrested on charges that he burned a Koran and a chart of Koranic verses.

The family of the accused man says however that Islamic extremist groups have falsely accused the man and a co-worker because a large amount of Hindus are converting to Christianity in their region.

Javed Masih, the Christian convert and his co-worker Anana Lal who is Hindu worked as janitors at the Government Excellent High School in Satellite Town.  The school’s headmaster, a Muslim, filed a report on August 29th claiming that he found the charred Koranic verses.

The moment the men were arrested, a mob made up of the Islamic extremist group Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam and Tahafuz Khatan-e-Nabuvat went to the men’s homes and called on the mob to burn the houses and kill the man’s children.

Masih’s wife was able to escape with their three children and is now in protective custody.

“Almost all Hindus who have converted, including us, accepted Christ as our savior not under any pressure, but of our free will,” she told Morning Star News. “The Hindu community is often targeted by Muslim groups, and our girls are forcibly taken and converted to Islam, so the community has a natural hatred for Islam.”

Police has repeatedly offered the Hindu man deals to set him free if he claims the Christian burned the Koran.

Bigots Use Hate Speech To Slam Late Chick-Fil-A Founder

As some expected in light of the death of strong Christian businessman and founder of Chick-Fil-A S. Truett Cathy, anti-Christian bigots jumped onto the internet to spew hate speech.

Most of the hate was directed toward Cathy and his strong Bible-based stances for life and running a business.

Some of the hate included statements like there was one less Bible-following Christian in the world and that it made “the world a better place.”  Another said “oh good, the Chick-Fil-A [profanity deleted] is finally dead!”  Several said that the “Chick-Fil-A founder is roasting in hell!”

S. Truett Cathy started in 1946 with one small restaurant selling his signature chicken sandwich.  Over the next 68 years the company grew to nearly 2,000 restaurants and annual sales over $5 billion.

And it was all based on his belief in the Bible, its teachings for life and how to operate a business.

“It’s a silent witness to the Lord when people go into shopping malls and everyone is bustling, and you see Chick-Fil-A is closed,” he one told a reporter.

Tributes to Cathy included radio host Dave Ramsey, who said Cathy was “a godly man who loved his family well and showed us faith in the marketplace.”

ISIS Working With Boko Haram

While the world is focusing on the Islamic terrorist group ISIS in Iraq and Syria, the terror unit is quietly working to help another extremist group set up their own “caliphate” in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Security Network has found connections between Boko Haram and ISIS that indicates the major terror network is helping the Nigerian outfit with military tactics, supplies and “spiritual” guidance.

“Unless swift action is taken, Nigeria could be facing a rapid takeover of a large area of its territory reminiscent of ISIS’s lightning advances in Iraq,” the NSN said.

The Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans is calling on President Obama to look beyond ISIS to the terror groups that are receiving their assistance as he builds a world coalition against terrorism.

“As the US President Barack Obama is articulating a strategy to degrade and destroy ISIS, we urge him not to forget Boko Haram as well. Every moment we leave Boko Haram alone empowers the terrorists to become even more devious and devilish,” CANA Executive Director Pastor Laolu Akande said in a statement.

Boko Haram followed in the footsteps of ISIS in declaring an Islamic Caliphate in northern Nigeria.  Some local leaders are now calling Boko Haram the “Islamic State Nigeria Branch”.

Nigerian Bible College Shuts Because of Terrorists

A Nigerian Bible College has been forced to close because of the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram.

The leaders of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria announced the closure of Kulp Bible College and also many churches because of the terrorist attacks in the last few weeks that have left more than 300 Christians dead.

“Boko Haram violence has been getting worse every day, and our members are fleeing the area by the thousands,” EYN President Samuel Dali said. “Recent attacks in Borno and Adamawa states where are our churches are located have seen Boko Haram take over the Army base. As a result, about 350 Christians have been killed.”

The headquarters of the church is also under threat from the terrorist group.

“Every night at the EYN headquarters, our staff and their families go to bed with hearts bound in fear for their lives,” Dali said. “This has forced them to be prepared to flee at any time of the night in an event an attack occurs during the hours of darkness.”

The Bible College is in Kwarhi which is one of the towns claimed in the “caliphate” that Boko Haram says they have set up in northern Nigeria.

A witness who escaped a Boko Haram attack on a Christian village said they are progressing through the area using the same tactic.

“They went from house to house shooting and killing those they came in contact with,” Luka Sabo said. “I have seen bodies of some of those killed, but it is difficult to say how many have died.”

United Nations Says ISIS Has Killed Hundreds of Children

The United Nations is calling out the terrorist group ISIS for the killing of hundreds of children in their campaign of terror across Iraq and Syria.

The UN’s Envoy on Children testified Monday that many children were simply executed on the spot by the terrorists.

“Up to 700 children have been killed or maimed in Iraq since the beginning of the year, including in summary executions,” Leila Zerrougui told the UN Security Council.  She added that in addition to the children who have been killed by the group, they are also forcing children as young as 13 to be soldiers.

“Other children are used as suicide bombers,” Zarrougui said.

Zarrougui was not the only UN official condemning the terrorist outfit on Monday.  The new head of the UN’s Commission on Human Rights called out the group while speaking in Geneva.

Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein said that ISIS is creating a “house of blood” in the areas under their control.

The UN has committed to making sure there are no child soldiers anywhere in the world by the end of 2016.

California University System To Discriminate Against Christian Groups

The California State University system has openly announced they will be discriminating against Christian groups on their campuses.

The apparent attempt to drive Christians from their schools was exposed when InterVarsity Christian Fellowship lost their recognition at 23 schools in the state because they require their leadership to be Christians.

The California State University system issued an executive order in 2011 that reads “No campus shall recognize any fraternity, sorority, living group, honor society or other student organization that discriminates on the basis of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, color, age, gender, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation or disability.”  A spokesman for the CSU system said InterVarsity would not sign the agreement which meant a vehement anti-Christianist would have to be allowed in the group and run for leadership positions.

The organization showed no concern about infringing on the religious rights of the students.

InterVarsity spokesman Greg Jao said they will keep fighting on behalf of their student’s rights but that the hostile attack by the school system can be a benefit as well.

“Our campus access challenge is actually forcing us, or inviting us, to fully release the ministry into the hands of college students to say the best way students are going to hear the gospel is not by drawing them to a large group meeting—which we may or may not have access to—but in your dorm rooms, in your cafeterias, in your laboratories,” he said. “I think, most importantly, we’re mobilizing students to be missionaries. I’m convinced college students are there to be good students, absolutely, but also to be missionaries wherever they are.”
