The quake, centered near the Iranian cities of Khash (population 180,000) and Saravan (population 250,000), struck approximately 3:14pm local time Tuesday. Central Oklahoma was shaken by a series of earthquakes starting around 1:45 a.m. and lasting through almost 5:20 a.m. Three of the quakes centered around Luther including the strongest quake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale.
