Al-Qaeda Attack In Canada Stopped By International Investigation

Two foreign men living in Canada have been charged with plotting to blow up a passenger train with support from Al-Qaeda in Iran.

Officers with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police took Chiheb Esseghaier, 30, and Raed Jaser, 35, into custody Monday. The two men have been charged in connection with a plot to derail a VIA passenger train in the Toronto area. Continue reading

Strongest Earthquake In 50 Years Shakes Iran; Pakistan; Afghanistan

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake centered in Iran reached three countries resulting in fatalities in at least two.

The quake, centered near the Iranian cities of Khash (population 180,000) and Saravan (population 250,000), struck approximately 3:14pm local time Tuesday. Iranian Pastor’s Condition Worsens

Saeed Abedini, the American pastor jailed in Iran for being a Christian, has been inflicted with new beatings in Evin prison that have severely impacted his physical condition.

Abedini’s wife told Fox News that the beatings have left him with internal bleeding. The bleeding complication is on top of other injuries from repeated beatings at the hands of his Iranian captors. Continue reading

6.3 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Iran

An earthquake measured at 6.3 on the Richter Scale rocked southern Iran today. The quake was centered not far from the nation’s only working nuclear power station. Thirty people have already been confirmed as having died in the quake.

Officials claim that there was no damage to the Bushehr nuclear plant and that everything is under normal operation. However, local officials are reporting that villages in the area have been as much as 80% destroyed. Continue reading
