Police Beat and Torture Indian Christians

Christians in Phatachanchara, India were tortured and beaten on February 15th according to a report just released from the Barnabas Fund.

Christians were forced from their homes at 2:30am by close to 60 local police officers who invaded the homes without warning. The Christians were beaten, abused and in some cases made to march miles across rocky, thorny ground in bare feet. Continue reading

Nigerian Military Kills 20 Terrorists

Nigerian troops have killed 20 members of the Islamic terror group, Boko Haram, according to an army spokesman.

The terrorists had attempted to take over a military barracks in Monguno, in the extreme northern part of the country. In addition to killing 20 of the terrorists, the troops were able to capture weapons and ammunition from the assault force. No military members were apparently wounded in the assault. Attacks On Christians Rise In Indonesia

Attacks on Christians have been on the rise in Indonesia according to a report from Human Rights Watch.

HRW’s report, researched over a year between August 2011 and December 2012, showed that the government has made little attempt to stop Islamic extremists from taking violent action against Christians in the nation. The report states “harassment and intimidation of minority communities by militant Islamist groups has been facilitated by the active or passive involvement of Indonesian government officials and security forces”. Nigeria Raids Islamists – Kill 17

Nigerian troops killed 17 terrorists and wounded dozens of others in twin raids on Boko Haram training camps.

The raids in northern Nigeria happened Sunday. One Nigerian soldier died in the assaults.

Lt. Col. Sagir Musa said the camps were “fortified” and were well stocked for an extended siege. The camps contained armories, a drug store, kitchens, water sources and dormitories for the troops. Continue reading
