Will We Go Through the Tribulation? (Pt. 11)

Jesus Could Come For You

Conclusion

My former teaching that “Jesus could come today” I now regard as a half-truth.  For you, Jesus could come today.  You could meet with some accident or die of natural causes and be swept into His presence in a heartbeat.  But as for Jesus coming back for the Church as a whole, certain events must yet take place before that can happen.

For instance, Paul wrote,

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. (2 Thess. 2:3-4 NKJV)

Notice, Jesus will not return until after there has been a great falling away from the truth and the Antichrist has risen to power by promising to bring normalcy to a world whose stability and security is convulsing.  Paul continued,

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.  The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (2 Thess. 2:7-10 NKJV)

Paul is implying that the Holy Spirit now retrains the Antichrist from catapulting to power, but one day soon that hold hindrance will be removed, and the Antichrist will be revealed to the world.  At that time the world will be clamoring for peace, but this false messiah will bring just the opposite.  “For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.  And they shall not escape” (1Thess. 5:3 NKJV).

If your hope is in this world, get ready for the ride of your life.  The material systems of this world, the harlot of Revelation, are about to be destroyed!

The End of the “Will We Go Through the Tribulation” Series

Though the words above were written more than 12 years ago, they were never more true than they are today.

Jim

  1. Romans 14:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

What could be more comforting than this truth?

I don’t intend to stay in this world for eternity.

Be a Berean. Search the Scriptures, Don’t rely on interpretation and commentaries of men. Even this commentary.

Acts 17:11 New International Version (NIV)
11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what PAUL said was true.

Imagine, even what Paul, the Apostle of Jesus Christ who went to the Third Heaven, has said we must examine? Would you not dare examine what your Pastors are preaching?

    Romans 14;22-23
22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23 But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.[c]

  2. Jim,

I don’t agree with you that the church will go through the 7 year Trib. Why would God let His bride get all beat up during this time? I believe the Bible is quite clear, that there will be a PreTribulational Rapture. Yes there will be people that get saved during the Trib after the church is gone. These Christians will suffer martydom by being beheaded for refusing to take the Mark of the Beast. The Bible is cronological in it’s teachings. When you study the book of revelation, it xlearly states that first the Rapture takes place, then the wedding supper of the Lamb, then the Bema Seat judgements of the Christians, then the Lords return with His saints at the end of the Tribulation. Your belief in a post Trib Rapture does not line up with the Word. It’s called the yo yo theory, being that, at the end of the Trib we get raptured then immediatley we come back with the Lord. If that were so, then, why does it say that the church is in Heaven at the wedding supper of the Lamb while the Trib is taking place?

  3. This is so true , I was taught this years ago at age17, that we would go through at lest 3 & a half years of Tribulation and im now 63 yrs old! I feel like you that we are now in those last days , all the signs are coming to past ! Im watching the middle east and mostly Israel, I feel I will see the Lords return in my life time , but if not I will not miss anything for I will be raised from the dead to see it! God Bless you Bro Jim , Keep preaching the Truth and reviling to us what God is showing you!

  4. CORRECT RAPTURE THEOLOGY: JIM IS RIGHT! HERE’S PROOF:

LAST TRUMPET THEOLOGY: 1st Cor 15:51,52-says that the resurrection of the dead in Christ comes at LAST TRUMPET. Rev 11:15-18- says that the blowing of 7th and “last trumpet” signifies “the time of the dead in Christ to be judged and rewarded for their service for the Lord.” (The Resurrection!)(Can’t reward’em without raising them from the dead… )

LAST DAY THEOLOGY: John 6:37-40 Jesus said He would resurrect believers at (or “on”-same word in Greek) the LAST DAY. Revelation 10:5-7 indicates that the blowing of the LAST TRUMPET also signifies that “TIME SHALL BE NO MORE” for the believers… Hence-the “LAST DAY” -of recorded time spoken of in John 6.

FIRST RESURRECTION THEOLOGY: Revelation 20:4-6 says plainly that the FIRST RESURRECTION comes AFTER the cruel reign of the Antichrist, and the beheading of many Christians. If that’s the first one, then which one is it talking about in 1st Thess 4:16-18 when it says that, “THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE FIRST,”(THE RESURRECTION)and then we which are still alive will follow AFTER in the RAPTURE, or “catching away?” It has to be speaking of the same resurrection, which comes AFTER the Antichrist’s reign; otherwise, the one in Rev 20 couldn’t be the FIRST ONE!(Also, it proves the rapture and resurrection are the same event! …not 7 years apart, and not BEFORE the Antichrist’s reign on earth. The dead are raised and we are “caught up” or “raptured” with them in one big event!) “CAUGHT UP” means “RAPTIO” in Latin. The word “RAPTURE” comes from this.
