Walking In Unity

Recently my husband and I have been reading out of the book of Ephesians during our devotions in the morning.  I felt impressed to jot down some of the thoughts that have come to me during this time.  Walking in unity is so important in our Christian walk and in our relationship with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

In Ephesians 4, Verses 1 – 3 we are encouraged to walk worthy of the calling with which we have been called with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.  If we do this, we are endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  I don’t know about you, but this has not always been easy for me.  Continue reading

Dove’s Eyes

Song of Solomon 5:12 His eyes as doves By streams of waters, Washing in milk, Sitting in fullness. – Young’s Literal Translation

This verse speaks to me of the importance of gaining God’s perspective, seeing with His eyes and looking at everything in life from the Lord’s point of view.  The Lord says His eyes are doves, which speaks of His heart of gentleness and compassion for us.  He wants to teach us how to look through His eyes.  He loves correcting the vision of His people, removing the distortion and replacing it with the crystal clear vision of truth. Make Room!

Several weeks ago the Lord spoke to our intercessory group and said “Make Room.”

So what did that mean?

The Lord went on to explain that He desired to do a deeper work in our lives.  God wants us to expand our thinking, open our hearts and allow Him to heal old wounds.  He wants to impart more insight, wisdom, revelation and discernment to His people for these end times. This means making room in our daily life for more time with the Lord and the study of His Word. Continue reading

What Do You Believe?

Matthew 19:26 — Jesus had just addressed the youth with great wealth and He declared: “With God all things are possible to them that believe.”

Paul said in Galatians 3:22 — “That the promise of faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.”

Mark 9:17-24 — This is the account of a father with a son who had seizures.  The father said to Jesus, “If you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”   Jesus said to him, “If you can believe all things are possible to him who believes!”   The father cried out, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Continue reading

Angels Unaware

In Hebrews 13:2 (ASV) it reads:  “Forget not to show love unto strangers:  for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”

The Aramaic Bible in Plain English reads:  “And do not forget kindness to strangers, for by this, some who, while they were unaware, were worthy to receive Angels.”

I heard that scripture quoted throughout the years and I remember when I was young thinking how strange it would be to have angels in your midst and not realize it.  I was fascinated by the thought.  As the years passed and I have grown older I have heard some interesting stories that are worth repeating. Just Say “Yes”

As end times unfold, this age of grace is drawing to a close.  But, within God’s window of time for prophetic events to occur, there are many windows of opportunity for God’s children. God doesn’t want us to panic or be driven by thoughts of worry, despair or uncertainty. He is still the same God who heals, delivers and saves! Recently the Lord shared with the Morningside Prayer Team that many of God’s people have been on the launching pad being pruned, purged, fine-tuned and taught by Holy Spirit to prepare them for this appointed time.

This is your time to say “yes” and fulfill your destiny on this earth before this window of grace closes and Jesus returns. Say yes, to what??  Continue reading

The Holy Spirit – A Gift

Sometime ago I was pondering and being thankful for God’s love, His mercy, and His watchful care for His children.  I was also reminded of, and began to thank God for, the great sacrifice that Jesus paid.  His sacrifice bridges the gap between Father God and ourselves and enables us to enter into the throne room through the precious blood of Jesus.

Jesus truly is the Way, the Truth and the Life!  He fulfilled His purpose on earth and as Acts 10:38 says: “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him.” Continue reading

Fear Not

Recently the Lord spoke these words to me:

“I am with you, do not be afraid!  I am saying, “Peace be still to your restless heart.

I will never leave you nor forsake you no matter what happens.  Let this soak into your heart and mind, until you overflow with joy.  When the earth gives way and earthquakes and mountains fall into the sea, do not fear!” Continue reading

Spirit Words

Recently during my time with the Lord these words came from the Spirit of God. I want to share them with you because I believe they are for all of the Body of Christ.

Dear Ones,

The times are short. Days are coming when you will not be able to carry the written Word with you. Ask me and I will give you the grace and ability to memorize portions of my Word, to hide it in your heart. I will plant it there and it will grow like a mighty tree. You will pick its fruit and offer it to others. Many will come and sit under the shadow and protection of the Tree of the Living Word, and find truth, life, sustenance and peace. There is no substitute for the Word. Good books are good books, but my Words are Spirit and Life. Continue reading
