Chinese Officials Break Up Human Trafficking Gangs

Over 800 people were arrested in China Monday in a country-wide operation to destroy two human trafficking operations.

Over 180 children were freed from captivity in the rescue.

The Chinese cultural preference for male children is creating a market for male babies according to the BBC. The female children are being brought up to be laborers or forced into marriages.

Critics blame the country’s one-child policy and adoption laws for creating the thriving child trafficking trade in China.

Shao Zhongyuan, one of China’s most wanted criminals, is reportedly one of the men arrested in the raid. He is reported to be leading a gang that has trafficked more than 100 children.

The government has reported that police have rescued tens of thousands of women and children.

  1. All I can say is praise God for prayers that go up and blessings that come down. God honors our prayers and our hearts that go out to the victims of this horrific crime and tragedy! With God all things are possible and we believe through our prayers, God will reveal the darkness exposing to the light so victims can be set free and the perpetrators will be apprehended and incarcerated !!!!!! In Jesus name we believe Amen
