Colombia Struck by 6.7 Magnitude Quake

Luke 21:11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Colombia was hit by its strongest earthquake in six years on Tuesday.

The U.S. Geological Survey estimates the quake at magnitude 6.7 and only 2.7 miles deep 63 miles west of the coastal city of Mutis.

The quake shook buildings hundreds of miles away in Medellin and was felt as far away as Panama City, Panama.

“No victims to mourn and nothing to fear,” read a statement from Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos on Twitter.

No tsunami warning was issued but local geologists said it was possible for increased wave swells at beaches and for swimmers to keep alert.
